Lake Grassy Inn & Suites

This is not a luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a place that's clean and in a convenient location this is it. Lake Placid itself is really just a fishing town. But it had everything you need. The Inn is right on the lake. It had small fridge, dishwasher, sink, 2 burner stove top, king bed dining table, and patio with picnic table and two other chairs. Every room has a great view. The inn is older, but remodeled nicely. My only complaint was the pillows. They are large since its for a king bed so the stuffing would push to the ends when laying on them. Overall I was very happy with the room.

The room was more than adequate, a dishwasher? Full kitchen WOW. The bed was comfortable and there were no funky smells. The air conditioning was great.The Tub was amazing, wish I had one at my home. Deep and long and the best part..., plenty of hot water to enjoy it.

Would have liked access to an ice machine. I am allergic to the EMFs of my phone . It causes extreme itching of my arm and the only way to calm it is to put ice on it. I know that sounds strange...but we are living in difficult times. I managed by putting a wet wash cloth in the freezer... yes there is a frigerator/freezer. So it was just a very small inconvenience. I was given ice by the owner from their suite earlier in my stay. If I'm ever in this area again this will be the place I stay.

We loved being right on the lake - took in sunrises and enjoyed wildlife that stopped by :) Enjoyed being able to have breakfast with lakeview. (P.S. the Shower was Amazing!!! )

Patio was a little buggy but luckily we brought our bug spray. No problem after that. Could have used coffee for each day we stayed - only had one for a two night stay.

The lake view was beautiful and peaceful. We loved the outdoor seating area with chairs and picnic tables, great place for morning coffee, or drinks with our friends, who stayed next door to us. close to town and lakes. staff was very friendly and accommodating. Being pet friendly was a huge plus as well! We would definitely come back here and would recommend it to anyone.

Fell in love with the view. The room was nice but the rear patio was fantastic. Beautiful sunrise. A quiet and romantic getaway for a night. There are some issues as noted in the dislikes.

A few issues. The bed and pillows are not very comfortable and need updating. Too much furniture jammed into the room. Thin it out. Paint and/or patio furniture.

rooms are updated, lots of room, and have kitchen, fridge, and all the things that seem like home. bathtub is AMAZING! The best part is the staff, they know everyone that is here, always available, and super nice! I always check availability at this place first when I’m staying in town for work! highly recommend!

Everything, location, cleanliness, awesome place especially if you travel with pets, and staff was attentive and friendly.. We had a great time there in Lake Placid visiting family!

Literally right on a lake...out the back door. You have your own little patio. No it's not the Ritz but for the money a nice, safe, little motel next to a lake to chill out.

TV box...never really came on the first try...

The rooms are located close to the lake. Except for the morning hours, they are shaded from the sun. Sitting outside in the afternoon is very pleasant, and quiet, except for some highway noise.

There could have been more restaurants in the vicinity for those who chose not to use to cooking facilities in the room.

wonderful value with a great view of the lake. The grounds were very clean, We saw an alligator in the water, so many birds, lovely moonrise and sunrise. Also a nice spot for my little dog. I will likely stay again.

the only negative would be that there arent' many dishes (plates, spoons, forks etc) other than that it was great
