I did not realize the historical factor of this hotel. The antiques in the lobby, my room and the outside alcove were such an extra bonus! My bed was incredibly comfortable and the room so cozy! The hotel and my room brought back wonderful memories of times I spent at my grandparents' house as a child. Staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly. The town feels like a quaint throwback in time and the boutiques are beautiful! Ice Cream parlor around the corner was the cherry on top of a wonderful weekend! There was nothing I did not like, except having to leave!

The necessities were indeed upgraded and very clean...freshly painted clean white walls, new sink, fluffy white towels artistically arranged, comfy bed, clean vinyl wood floors, ac worked properly, 45/50 inch flat screen tv, hot water, microwave, fridge, excellent staff...did I mention excellent, accommodating staff?...excellent location if you have friends or business in St. Cloud, amazing coffee shop adjacent (fantastic remodel, fabulous coffee choices perfectly crafted by the owner). Charming original brick accents. Historic and clean.

The view from the parking lot was almost a deal breaker! Turned out to be really old restaurant windows. But the windows in our room were original but fine. Narrow, dark hallways. Some woodwork still needs updating.

The atmosphere was amazing.You could feel the history the minute you walked into the lobby. Rooms were just that, small, cozy rooms with an enormous king bed. We showed up at about 5 minutes before 11 pm, which is cut off for check in, and the girl at the front desk was very nice. I accidentally booked 2 rooms, and she didn't even blink an eye. After we were checked in, we couldn't figure out the TV. We called down front, and the same girl came up to our room before going home for the night and showed us what we were doing wrong. Instead of just explaining it on the phone! We will definitely stay there again.

The suite stayed in, room 244, was sizable and comfortable. This hotel has much more charm and character than most chain hotels. Coffee was provided in the upstairs lobby. The hotel staff were very professional and friendly and even knowing who I am by name, would stay again.

Linens and towels are washed in a standard supermarket scented laundry detergent. Practically all hotels use unscented laundry detergent. Recommend that this hotel switches to an unscented laundry detergent.

We absolutely loved the character and charm of this hotel! The staff was helpful and friendly and it was pleasantly quiet! It is in the St Cloud Historic District and is in a fantastic location with plenty of little shops and local businesses to enjoy! We will definitely be back!

We unfortunately had no hot water during our short stay. Since we only stayed for 1 night, it was unable to be resolved before we left. We understand things happen, and it wasn't that important to us. We were visiting to attend the Silver Spurs Rodeo so we were hardly in the room anyways. The staff was very prompt and willing to help when they learned of this, it was just too late in the evening to get an emergency plumber out. This will not prevent us from coming back again!

We do not have breakfast at the hotel, but did enjoy John 316 coffee shop located on the property. Met the owner and family it was completely pleased with the service quality of the coffee and pastries. We will go back.

The only issue we had was with construction in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, making it difficult to navigate in and out. That’s a Monday we were able to figure out the ingress and egress with no difficulty, but also found the Hotel South more than accommodating when we called the first evening, attempt to locate the hotel. The manager actually walked out to the street and medicine, our car and let us to a parking place assisted with our luggage and the fun began.

Hunter Arms delivered exactly what I expected, Its old with charm and service is still the name of the game. Both, Naomi and Katrina delivered first rate "I care about your stay and will do everything in my power to deliver to you what I can within my power." Without actually saying that. WE stayed two nights which included New Years eve. Pretty safe place to celebrate New Years, St Cloud/Hunter Arms Hotel. Everyone was nice and we noticed a constant about the city. Respect, everyone even the guests had certain amount of respect for each other. Thats rare these day in the fast paced world we live in. Nothing like a smaller town to bring you back down to earth.

The location, the staff, accessibility, and the appearance. Everything was gorgeous. Staff was extremely nice and personable. 3-4 bars in walking distance. lots of shops in walking distance. great restaurants in the area- modern and traditional!

Our room was just above a kitchen so we’d get the grease fumes in the bathroom vent which weren’t always pleasant. We’d just keep the door closed or sprayed with a room spray we had with us. However, not an overall downside because if we had a room in a different location, the periodic smell wouldn’t be an issue. side note: the food from the restaurant WAS PHENOMENAL! Another subtle dislike: thorough floor cleaning… under the dressers, bed and room floor. I remedied with purchasing slipper socks.

this is a delightful old hotel that has been updated as best as possible - without taking away the charm. it just so happened that night of my stay coincided with a festival that took place in the street that the hotel is on - providing an unexpected chance to revel.

I guess you have to be a certain kind of person but this place was like being at home. The front desk lady was nice and cool to talk with. The maids after my first night were super nice and asked if I needed anything. They did an excellent job changing out the room. Super comfortable bed. Ac was rarely needed which was surprising for such a hot day. Just kicked the fan on and relaxed. Its nice to just have what you need sometimes and this place was excellent, super relaxing, water pressure meh but the haunted hotel aspect made up for that. Experienced some crazy things my two nights and didn't know about the hotels history before the second night but what do you expect from 100 year old building lol. I legit will stay here every single time I come to that area.

I do wish I coulda had a shot of whiskey tho 😢
