The room was excellent. Excellent cleaning and service too.

We had a bad experience in the pool. I have stayed there more than 5 times. Every year I travel to Sarasota and have stayed with you but this time they put a bar with alcoholic drinks with music in the pool and the music was very loud. Before there wasn't and it was better. There were people there drinking alcoholic beverages and they were drunk dancing and bothering the people who were there. .That should not be so. There were young people and children in the pool. I think the pool should be more family-friendly and not have a bar for alcoholic drinks.

The staff was beyond professional and kind. The room was so roomy with all the conveniences we needed.

I / we were extremely pleased with The Magnolia overall. ONE THING I/WE were not happy with was the $5/day charge for their 'GREEN INITIATIVE'. WHY does a customer that follows the request of the facility on the 'green initiative' clause and not have their room cleaned or bed(s) changed during a 3 day stay to support the GREEN INITIATIVE get charged when we SAVED them $$$ by abiding by this incentive/request? I WILL BE CALLING THE CORPORATE OFFICE ABOUT THIS. Yes we did have towels exchanged for clean ones, but no bedding changes or room cleaning was requested. THIS IS WRONG!

This is a new build which was very clean and extremely well run hotel. Its in a fantastic location and is under 10 mins from downtown and University Town Centre. The breakfast offers more than a basic one with fresh fruit waffle machine and range of bagels/breads. The pool is shared with its sister hotel but 30 seconds walk. It jas washing drying and we used the bbq one evening The staff made the hotel the best we had stayed in. All are fantastically helpful. We were there over Xmas and they had researched and printed what was open etc

The gym is small with no bike. However a bench and dumbells 2 running machines. The hot food at breakfast offered eggs sausage and potatoes and perhaps needed a little variety but did not bother me as fresh choice for everything.

The location was perfect for my reason being in Sarasota. I was not looking to stay in downtown Sarasota or near the Key. I did not try the breakfast at the hotel. There is a Bob Evans Restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Many other restaurants and fast food options are within a short drive of the hotel.

I didn't like the street noise at night in my room which faced Fruitland road. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend requesting a room on the opposite side of the hotel. I think the cost per night is a little high at this hotel. I would consider staying at this hotel again but I would also look at some other hotels if I return to Sarasota.

The personal in breakfast was not very friendly. The lady was very rude and delaying when miss any food. I ask for some missing food and she was rude

Toilet was clog the 1st day and when called front desk the gentleman told me to go to front desk get a plung myself unplug toilet and go back to return the plug. Also we had stay there for the past five years with a huge group with over 10 rooms for the 4th of july and nobody notify that breakfast services was change from a regular breakfast to a continental breakfast I believe that false advertising everything else was great!

Location, room and housekeeping and front desk was great no complaints …

The breakfast was okay … I’m really surprised that there was no regular water only with lemon which was provided from der lobby.. (there’s coffee hot Tea juice but no Regular Water )! I was not able to drink the lobby water because I’m allergic to citrus so i asked the serve Ms Tameka wich always was very pleasant sh always got me some water etc… but there is another Spanish server i wish i would know her name she was rude and looked at me like I’m asking for something extra very uncalled for ! Please do better ! And make sure you provide Regular water for Guests. Thank you

The staff is super friendly. The pool/bar area is really nice! The location is excellent if you're looking to explore the area. Also, the water pressure in the shower is fantastic.

If I had to be nit-picky, the pool is across the parking lot and not connected to the hotel directly. Didn't really matter for us. Also nit-picky, but the king-size bed didn't have king-size pillows.

We were in town for a wedding and needed a hotel close to the wedding reception. We were able to check in early which gave us ample enough time to get something to eat, then relax out on the patio before getting ready for the wedding. Selena at the front desk was very helpful in recommending places close by to eat. She we very friendly when we arrived. She was very nice to my elderly mother who does not travel very often. The room was very clean and perfect for our overnight stay. The breakfast in the morning had a wide variety of items to choose from, which were very good.

The pool was not right at the hotel, which we thought was odd

We could hear the traffic all night. Also a baby was crying for quite a while which we understand is beyond your control. The carpet was wet around the refrigerator. There was a little bit of mold in the shower.I wouldn’t stay here for more than one night. We didn’t like the location. We didn’t like the traffic all night. I know this is no one’s fault but my own but I left a pair of earrings in the room. I thought I had looked at every surface to see if there was anything lying around. The earrings couldn’t weigh more than 1/16 of an ounce, and they wanted $23 to mail them to me. Which is quite ridiculous. The pool being located so far from the property was weird.
