Great hotel a little bit away from the big trouble of Waikiki beach - but probably for this reason really quiet. Perfect. Great staff - thank you -, very comfortable and great view from the balcony. Parking free of charge is something like an exception in Honolulu - please keep this idea in the future :-) If you are good at walking, you can have a little walk training rewarded by Leonards and its legendary Malasadas. Diamond Head Market and Grill, highly frequented and appreciated by locals, requires a car - but thus it is close by. And just a little bit further up to the national monument there is a parking lot where we found a Dole truck - and enjoyed several fresh made pineapple smoothies absolutely worth the detour. Enjoy.

As in other hotels in Hawaii, daily cleaning is not planned. We got someway used to it, although in Europe this is mostly a no-go. Exceptional guests requests should nevertheless be taken into consideration. The coffee machine model is faulty - we got a different one and it showed us the start of the same problems the first one had. Maybe a small investment in order to really achieve the offered amenity for the guests.

very good location, nice rooms, beach chairs can be taken to other beaches, nice sunset on the small beach close to the hotel, good complimentary wine but only Wednesday to Sunday at the restaurant. So in general perfect location 5 min walk from Waikiki but far enough not to be troubled by to much traffic or noise.

Unfortunately we have had the room on 5th floor and to much view on the parking lot. The pictures on Booking.com don’t fit to the reality and are showing corner room on higher floors. As I complained the hotel said it were booking fault and vice versa, not fair. So I recommend the rooms fron 7th floor up.

We really enjoyed the quiet location and wonderful staff at Lotus at Diamond Head. Christianne was especially helpful throughout our stay. She helped us secure the type of room we wanted and greeted us by name with a smile every time we walked through the lobby. It’s the type of place where you feel that. you’re “coming home” at the end of your day. Also really appreciated the great in room espresso machine and free laundry. We loved our stay!!

We wish there had been a pool. Somehow I missed that detail when booking! But honestly I don’t know when we would have used a pool since we were so busy. The one thing I would suggest is some recommendations in the room (of beaches, restaurants, stores, etc. We asked the front desk folks, who were super helpful, and searched on our own, but always read that type of info when provided.

We very much enjoyed our weeklong stay at Lotus Honolulu. It was lovely to stay in a hotel close to a beach and next to and across the street from large parks. While we could easily walk to the hubbub of the strip, we loved the peace and quiet of the hotel’s location. It was also delightful to be in a smaller property rather than a mega hotel. We appreciated the large room with the spacious comfortable balcony. Opening the balcony doors for fresh air and the songs of the birds- who nested in a nearby tree and even serenaded us on the patio railing- was a real treat. The air conditioning unit in the room worked well and quietly when needed, the bed was comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. The large bathroom counter and extra credenza in the bathroom made it easy to stay organized and keep everything in easy reach. The microwave and fridge were handy. Towels were thick and plentiful and the hotel had high quality generous amenities. The gift of a pair of nice sized aluminum water bottles was very handy and of course are accompanying us home. The staff made our stay special. We were always greeted very sincerely with a cheerful, “Aloha” whenever we came in, and know that the offer of assistance with whatever we needed was sincere. Any staff member we saw was gracious and friendly and seemed to really care that we were enjoying our stay. I don’t know all of the names, but do remember Christieann at the front desk. Our housekeeper, Merly, was amazing! She kept the room spotless, and when she saw us in the hallway asked if there was anything else we needed. Everyday, the room was cleaned immaculately, and the bed remade perfectly- triple sheeted with comfortable white cotton. When we asked for soft pillows they were quickly provided. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening-supplementing the complimentary wine reception with a meal of the delicious small plates, which were perfect to share.

We had a great view of Diamond Head with partial ocean view..a superb location and within walking distance of downtown, yet far enough away from the hectic Waikiki core. We loved the free perks like the Illy espresso machine which was better than some of the expensive coffee shops. There was free wine tasting during the week, and use of a washer dryer on one of the floors. (You had to pay for detergent, but it was very reasonable.) The front desk folks were exceptional: warm, welcoming and helpful, including Christie Ann, James and Cody - they showed true aloha and made us feel cared for. We also loved being so close to Kapiolani Park, Diamond Head and the beach!

One of the cleaners wore heavy cologne. It would be helpful if employees did not wear scent as one of our family members is highly reactive and gets headaches/sneezes from it. Also, there was only one working elevator, so not convenient if you are in a rush to get somewhere on time.

Location was great because it was close enough to what the Waikiki area offers but far enough away to avoid the crowd. If you want to walk to middle of the Waikiki area, however, it might be a bit too far. Service was also awesome, very personal and friendly - definitely worth staying at a small boutique hotel like this one! I accidentally left my Air pods in the room when I checked out and when I reached out to the property, they mailed them back to me! We had two adjoining rooms, and the corner room was definitely spacious and felt very open. We also loved free self parking right in front and around the hotel. We would stay here again!

This is a remodeled old hotel so the walls can be a bit thin. Generally it was fine, but unfortunately the child that was staying next door woke up around 6 am everyday and was screaming for a while.... Not much anyone can do about that with the current configuration of the hotel.

The staff was amazing! Beach chair rentals and beach towels were easy to check out and very convenient. We saw two adult and one young monk seals on the beach behind the hotel, just relaxing on the beach. The hotel was close to Waikiki (maybe 5 minute walk, if that) but not crowded and outside of the loud nightlife. Very close to the zoo, convenient parking if you rent a car. The views from the room were of the ocean AND the mountains. It exceeded ALL of our expectations.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice but we felt it was overpriced for the portions and the Mai Tai was far too sweet.

The beach was wonderful and away from the crazier part of Waikiki. They had beach towels and chairs to borrow. They also gave me a room that gave a wonderful view of Diamondhead.

I did not like how the drain on the shower was not able to be removed. It was very hard to keep the water from pooling. Also, the rooms are VERY loud. You can hear the garbage collection on the street even from the 11th floor and other guests as they get up and ready. Concerts in Waikiki were also loud and the booming from the bass stopped me from getting to bed before midnight.

It was near the Zoo rather than right on Waikiki which made it quieter. The staff were lovely and responsive. Water and laundry on site. Views over Diamond head. Small.beach

Would have loved to be able to have had breakfast at the hotel but the walk to cafe Morey (highly recommended) was only 20 mins.

No pool, great beach location , wasnt able to use the beach because marine life (endangered monk seal pup was there and mom). I dont hold that against the hotel, im thrilled that hawaii protects there animals , i can go to any other beach. Room had wonderful view of Diamond head and partial of ocean -very beautiful Staff was wonderful. I loved the location, was quiet and close enough to walk to thick of Waikiki. The hotel room was nice, the floors were super slippery , almost ate it a couple of times and super loud (squeaky when walked on)just had to be mindful of it, i think the room decor is a little dated, but it was nice overall , the robes are a nice touch. Restaurant staff was nice and they worked as a team

The decor Lack of food/beverage options in hotel Restaurant staff- needs help/need to be more familiar with menu before serving The restaurant needs more food options
