We've been lucky to visit Oahu a few times before and this time decided to try the Ambassador. The staff at the hotel were fantastic especially Jeff, DK & Amber. They were always happy to offer advice on any questions put to them and provide service with a smile. The room was a decent size and the kitchenette made the stay that bit more comfortable, especially as we were staying for two weeks. The bathroom area was large and a decent shower that was always hot. Decent little hairdryer and complimentary smellies. The view in the direction of the beach from the balcony was very similar as what you get when staying at the Tapa Tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village if not actually better. The view from our front door was amazing as you got to see the canal and mountains and in the evening the metropolis skyline. Wow! Good sized relatively secure car park with plenty of space and competitive rates. In comparison to the Hawaiian village the hotel was a calm space to relax in if you want a socially distanced place to stay. Towels available for the beach and a swimming pool. Also a self service laundrette that came in handy for sure. The location of the hotel was great as it put us central to Waikiki and Honolulu which made going for morning runs along the canal and shoreline an absolute delight.

To be fair the hotel is dated along with the décor. However, like for like comparison to the Hilton Hawaiian Village it was similar in layout and styling. It turned out that housekeeping only came every other day to turn the room over and on some days quite late in the day. I assume due to staffing shortages? I would have preferred daily turn down service. Also it would have been good to have some chairs and table on the balcony.

Your internet said parking is free, but your staff charged me $35.00 per day. When I mentioned your internet claim, your staff is in very bad attitude.

It was awesome!

The air conditioner was very temperamental in the plug. We had to leave the plug half out fir the AC to run. I was in 708. My dad is a retired fireman so I just wanted to mention this for safety reasons.

Everyone was very kind and friendly, the location was pretty good, room was ok even though the furniture was not very modern, but it was clean and comfy. We stayed outside the whole time and spend only night there. There was also free coffee and tea in the lobby and the guys didn't have any problem to store our luggage after check out almost for the whole day which was very helpful for us.

They didn't clean our room at all during 5 night stay, but when we asked at the reception to have fresh towels, they brought it to our room immediately. Wifi signal was really terrible, it did not work in our room at all.

Absolutely perfect :) Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great room on the 9th Floor (Diamond Head Tower with bedroom and living room and kitchen) with beautiful views. We loved the whole hotel and would definitely come again. Great shower and air conditioning. Perfect parking lot with card at the hotel. You can reach shops and the beach within very short walking distance.

the staff was very friendly and helpful. the texting service they had for guests was easy to use and they responded really fast. the beds were comfy. the water station was really cool and i’ve never seen it anywhere before in a hotel so it was really useful to fill up my hydro. the gym was cool too and my friends used it and liked it.

the shower was a little funky, like the way you turn it on was odd. you had to turn it a lot to turn it on but it was either scorching hot or cold but sometimes it was the right temperature.

The Ambassador is great — super chill — and staff is friendly and helpful. The kitchenette room we had was a bit outdated, but really, who’s hanging out in the room in Hawaii, right? “The Bus” stops right outside the building. Free coffee and filtered water available 24/7. We had the workout room to ourselves every morning, and we also had a view of rainbows every day from the outdoor hallway to our room.

The Ambassador is at the edge of Waikiki, so it’s a fair walk to the nearest beach, (the beach by the Hale Koa), but that’s not such a big deal…it’s still walkable.

The location with partial ocean view. The size of the room. The staff was friendly, we were able to check in early and was so grateful. And the rate I got really sold it. But was glad I didn't let the negative reviews influence me. I was very happy with the room and service.

The mattresses need replaced. Very uncomfortable. Hard to sleep well on them. Only because we wore ourselves out walking were we able to sleep on them at all.

Great location.....walkable to most anywhere in Waikiki. The front desk gave us a number for a great taxi service to take us to those locations too far to go on foot. When our sink developed a leak at 9pm, we were promptly helped to move to a different, equally comfortable room. Thanks!

The whole experience was positive.....clean, comfortable room, friendly, efficient staff.

We went as a party of 3 and had plenty of space and everyone was beyond friendly and helpful. The view was amazing especially from the 13th floor. We would definitely stay there again.

The building is a little old so there were a few things here and there that showed it, especially the shower. It seemed to fill as if it was clogged and the shower head was hanging a little weird, but we were able to fix that.
