Nice hotel, clean. Decent size pool, pretty deep tho and good breakfast.

The morning of our checkout day(we only stayed 1 night) the pool wasn't usable at about 830 am when it opens at 6am. The pool vac was in it and the front desk told one of the kids that we all had to leave the area even tho we were not in the pool(obviously) and that it wouldn't be ready until like 9. In my opinion that should have all been taken care of during the down hours but as we were walking away another guy came and said it was good to go he would take the vac out and the chemicals were good....once in there, the vomit from the night before was also still on the floor(which we informed front desk of the night before...when it happened) so def could have some better pool care there lol Only other thing is the bathrooms are tiny

The location is awesome considering theres not a whole lot there in Effingham, but hotel is located close to walmart, a liquor store, a dispensary and tons of food options.

The pillows were too firm and gave us neck cramps so if you have the perfect pillow at home you best bring it.

Great hotel for a one night stay on a work trip with our 2 month old. I really appreciated that the entire hotel was smoke free.

Our room had a bit of a "wet dog" smell to it. This hotel allows pets so I wonder if that is why. Great for pet owners, maybe not as great for those without pets. I would take residual pet smells over cigarette smoke any day though! Also breakfast had very few options for those on dairy and gluten free diets. Adding a simple alternative milk to the fridge and some peanut butter for protein would be a good idea.

The rooms were clean and had plenty of towels. I appreciated there being more than two sets of towels. We were traveling with 3 children and they enjoyed it as well.

My only complaint were the hard pillows and bed. However, if you prefer a firm bed, you will love it.

'Basic' options for breakfast provided. Cereal, h.b. eggs, bagels, yogurt, oranges and waffles, coffee and juice were provided. We requested a bottom floor room near a outside entrance since we were traveling with a Lab, and it was honored. The room was a ittle 'tight' putting a dog crate and a twin inflatable bed at foot of beds, but it worked. Clean towels were provided daily in our 4 night stay. All basics were met by staying here.

At breakfast bar, having cooler with breakfast sandeiches to heat in a microwave would have been more satisfying options.

It was the cleanest and will run motel. I’ve been to a quite some time, and I travel often.

There was a table set up outside with a bunch of bikers, having a party outside of the hotel right off of the portico. Made me a little worried when I first drove up. It turned out that they are pretty quiet, and nothing got out of hand.

This hotel is in an excellent location, lots of restaurants and amenities right off the I70 Exit. My son loved the popcorn cart in the lobby.Pretty quiet considering you’re right off the interstate. Hotel was clean. Beds were okay. Nice pool, but no hot tub. Decent breakfast in the morning.

Hot tub would be a nice addition.

Although it was very busy, all staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice touches of having popcorn and fresh coffee available even in the evening. Breakfast was fresh and good variety. Liked that hotel was within walking distance of Cracker Barrel.

Beds are perfect. Maybe a bit high for my 80-year old mom to get into but basically ideal. Clean and safe hotel with a good breakfast setup.

Personally, I don’t like the hard easy-clean floors in hotels these days. We are supposed to be in the future now, if you grew up in the 80s-90s. Think of something better such as floors that vacuum themselves. Not that hard people.

Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very welcoming and went out of their way to help me wrangle in my two excited labs while checking in. The rooms were clean and accommodating for pets, bathrooms were roomy and updated. Would recommend this La Quinta for a quiet and comfortable nights rest.
