Quality Inn & Suites Metropolis I-24

As soon as I walked in I was impressed. It was so clean, and it smelled wonderful. It wasn’t just the main area, everywhere I went in the hotel was very clean and smelled great. The rooms are excellent, staff go above and beyond. Also, the tv has more channels than any hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. Has all the premium movie channels. Location couldn’t have been more convenient. I will absolutely, 100% be staying there again.

The only ”problem” was that the electronic key card wouldn’t read at first, so I had to swipe it 2 or 3 times to get into my room.

The entire staff was fantastic from check in to check out. Room was spacious and clean for the most part. Hotel was close enough to both Shawnee National Forest and Land Between the Lakes for those who enjoy the outdoors like we do.

While the living area was clean, there was room for opportunity in the bathroom. There were hairs on the shower walls, cracked tiles, and the water pressure was not the greatest.

1:The pool was perfect & was open till 10 pm. 2:The bar within walking distance had excellent food. 3:Staff I interacted with were polite & cheerful. 4:Was able to do some Christmas Shopping in Metropolis.

Waffles & Pancakes looked great, but I'm on a Ketovore Diet. Nothing for me but Hot Tea.

-The pool was great! I had it to myself for over an hour. -The bar/restaurant next door had fabulous food -Beds were very comfortable. - So quiet and peaceful, I decided to stay another night.

Breakfast had nothing available for my ketovore diet. But everyone else was enjoying the Waffles

Convience to I24 and Metropolis, The staff was helpful and friendly. Samantha was very helpful during a thunderstorm that knocked out the electricity for a short period. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed after getting soaked coming in from the storm.

Breakfast is very limited (I assume due to covid) and there was no table or chairs set up in the breakfast area. The seating is still stacked and roped off. Even toast would have been a step up. The website did not state that it had become a very limited breakfast. One of the other reasons that we chose this hotel was so that we could eat a good breakfast before sight seeing for the day.

Did not try the breakfast, hotel was very nice, reasonably priced,and location excellent, right off the highway.

My debit card didn't work, my fault, but they wanted a $100 cash deposit. Fortunately I had it, not sure what would've happened if I didnt.

Check in was easy. Walked into the room and it was very clean, looked welcoming. Beds were super comfortable.

The toilet moved a little when I sat on it. Was that big of an issue to me though. It is a little outdated. And I got lost looking for the lobby the next morning. Lol breakfast was ok.

I liked how comfortable and quiet the rooms were on our visit. The breakfast was decent. I overall liked it.

The pool gave an eerie feeling and the tile was super slippery. The elevator is at the end of the hall so it was easier for my grandmother to use the stairs.

Big room. Very nice. Kitchenette was very nice.

Need Better breakfast selection. Ended up skipping it. Only hot options were waffles, pancakes, and instant oatmeal. Cold choices were activia yogurt (topping options were nice), cold cereals, and apples or oranges. No choices of muffins, bagels, toast, or even a banana. I ended up only getting orange juice.
