Wingate by Wyndham Angola

My son and I stayed at the hotel because of location, clean reasonable accommodation. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. I was in the elevator with a gentleman that worked for the hotel and he was friendly and funny. The front desk and housekeeper were very friendly and helpful. It made a difference since we were dealing with family issues, even though they were unaware of what we were dealing with. It was nice to have someone say good morning, have a nice day. Your staff is excellent and because of that reason we are staying at the location when we return in June.

Caulk in the bathroom is always one of those things that looks moldy and dingy - same here. They wouldnt let us park our motorcycles up close to keep an eye on them. Many hotels will allow it as long as we are not in the fire area. The front desk clerk was very kind to explain that it was a management decision not hers. The price was ridiculous. We tried to book it for $100 on the Wyndham site but it wouldnt go through, then tried again for $146 then $164 and then finally at midnight it booked for $196! We were on motorcycles and over tired. Very frustrating to say the least

Easy access right off of the freeway. Plenty of spacious parking even for a big truck (F150) like mine. Check-in staff was attentive, quick, and efficient despite checking in at 1030 P.M. Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean, large and comfortable. Perfect place to stop on a long drive.

Nothing. This place was excellent. To be extra picky a few more breakfast options would have been nice to have, especially healthier options for those on a keto/paleo diet.

Rare gem in a small town for a good price. Location was easy to find. Access road to hotel is a little counterintuitive but fine. Easy parking, safe area. Mid-week stay and many rooms available. Staff friendly, personable and helpful. Newer hotel, modern design, clean. Nice breakfast offerings. Right off I-65 and about 15-20 min off I-80 (can take I-65 or Hwy 20 (good road) to/from I-80). We were traveling on I-80 and found it well worth the slight detour. Will definitely look to stay here again as alternative to Toledo/Maumee/Perrysburg area. Booked through booking.com app and found additional discounts.

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in, in recent memory. The late-night staff member who received us when we arrived was kind, friendly, and efficient. Our room, which was designed like a suite (one living room / kitchenette area, and one bedroom with a king-sized bed) was impeccably clean, and had a TV in each room. The bed was comfy, and the A/C worked quickly and quietly. The kitchenette had a Keurig, so the coffee was a lot better than your typical hotel coffee! All in all, my husband and I had the comfortable, restful night we needed after a long day of traveling. Thank you, Wingate of Angola, for taking such amazing care of us!

The hotel looked fairly new so everything so our stay was overall comfortable. It’s pretty close to the town for the eateries and antique shops. There’s even a cute small local movie theater.

The bathroom and keurig could be cleaner. There were some yellow water stains and what looked like mold in the corners. I wasn’t fond of the shampoo and conditioner provided, but luckily I brought my own.

A newer hotel, modern, comfortable bed in a well appointed room.

Booking.com had not sent them our resvervation...it was sent and confirmed by another facility? Anyway at 1:00 a.m. we had no where to sleep and the Booking.com rep was going to send us down the road to another hotel. They were also rude. Had to cancel Booking.com and made a reservation at Wingate and finally fell into bed.

This was the last night of a 2 week on the road vacation that included several hotel stays and and airbnb. We spent 11 hours on the road that day and your hotel was exactly what we needed on all levels.

customer service at front desk. I had to extend my stay and so I booked for an additional night beforehand. I had two (2)Separate reservations. i explained this at check-in and the next day; front desk told us we had to leave; we did not have guaranteed booking through third party. When she investigated; she found the other reservation and receipt. She was rude and condescending not to mention in the wrong:with no apology

We stayed for one night while on a road trip, in a king room. The hotel itself is new (our 2015 car didn't have it in the nav system) and very nice. The room itself was large, clean, and comfortable. The shower stall was the best I've ever been in - large walk-in shower with glass door, excellent flow and shower head, and the controls on the wall opposite the shower head so you could get the water adjusted before stepping into it. As with all the other motels we stayed in on this trip (August 2021), they were short-handed, and the breakfast was somewhat reduced, but they had the waffle machines going.
