Bally's Evansville Casino & Hotel

The location was great as we were within 5 minutes of my wife's mom. This was like our 4th time staying there when we have visited Infiana. If & when we come back we will probably stay here again for sure!!

The only issue we had was with whatever detergent the sheets are washed in made my wife's skin have a reaction & break out in hives on the 2nd morning. It has been over 2 months since she had broken out since we started using Allergen detergent. This was the only issue we had which was easily handled by some allergy pills.

I enjoyed the location, casino and bars. Yvonne in housekeeping was very nice and accommodating. The young male guest services rep went above and beyond to move me to non-ADA room.

11th floor non-smoking room and hallway smelled like smoke. Rooms did not have a refrigerator Front desk night auditor (female) was rude and put me in ADA room. Younger guest services rep (male) was nice and moved me to regular room on 11th floor. Same Front desk auditor charged credit card for full amount of stay but I was using a third party company to pay for my stay. First impressions are established during the checkin process. My first encounter was an unpleasant one but the young man salvage it. If not for Yvonne and guest services rep you would have received a much lower rating.

Bally’s was great. We arrived early and were able to check in. Wonderful young man at ck in. Very nice and CLEAN at Bally’s.

No room service. I understand most likely due to covid.

Thought there would be at least a refrigerator. Other then that the stay was great

We were on the top floor overlooking the Ohio River it was tremendous room was nice

We got there the TV did not work the whole night and also the parking is terrible there you have to drive two blocks away to park your car and then get in something and there was nothing for you to find to carry your luggage all the way to the hotel those are the only two things I did not like about the experience

There was a snafu with my reservation/registration. Absolutely on my end. The desk clerks were as helpful as they could be and did as much as they could, and cheerfully paged the manager when I asked. He arrived promptly, over rode my error, got me into the room I intended to reserve and was gracious and kind. It meant more than I can say after a very stressful afternoon.

The only thing that needed improvement was that the vacuuming wasn't thorough. I'm not going straight to poor performance by a housekeeper, though. I don't know how much time the housekeepers are allowed in each room, but if things like this are happening with any frequency, it may not be enough. I've reviewed recommendations from consultants before and some are unrealistic. Over half of the ones that could never be achieved were for housekeeping. Fortunately, we had a director who tried to do the task properly in the allotted time. He couldn't. You can get a job done fast, cheap or good. Pick 2. You'll never get all 3 at once.

The bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing. it is super convenient for the casino and the on property restaurant is good.

Since we paid double for the upgraded room it would’ve been nice to have the room serviced, but I guess since COVID that is not a thing anymore. parking for tower 2 is in an open lot, it would’ve been nice to have better parking options.

Nice hotel and good location.

The website mentioned a fitness center. When I asked about it, I was told it was still closed due to Covid, however there was no indication it even existed. There were no signs, empty rooms, equipment, etc. Also, there was a pet fee, which I understand, but wasn't told when I booked the room. I was only told about the pet fee at check-in

It's easy to get too. Not much traffic. Garage parking. Rooms are big. Great view. All the eating facilities are good but our fav is Taphouse. The cook that cooks for Cavannah's is the same that cooks for Taphouse so the steak is great and cheaper at Taphouse which is the sports bar in the casino. Some days the machines pay good and others we are done in an hour lol. Clean fun relaxing and sometimes rewarding night out.
