Holiday Inn Lafayette-City Centre, an IHG Hotel

For a long term stay, the nicest staff, in an excellent location, and we loved walking downtown to the Farmer's Market, to restaurants, across the Wabash and on to West Lafayette. Very quiet, and in the other direction, our daughter's apartment a few blocks away. We were there to help her move. Bed and huge room selected for us by very nice front desk person who I wish I knew her name. Room and bathroom clean. For 6 nights, we were happy to be able to spread out, and slept very well.

Shower stall was visibly worn and needs replacement, and shower head adequate but so old. It's like they skipped that part of the renovation. Tiny bar of soap for both bathroom and shower, requested more, no problem, but 2 bars would be appropriate. Breakfast was disappointing. It was Sunday, yet no customers, and the heat tray perhaps not working well because cold potatoes and sausage, but also biscuit was stale, and fruit looked sad, overpriced at $15. Packaged yogurt was great, lots of coffee too, only ate once, because wonderful breakfasts nearby (like Sunrise Diner)

The building was pretty and the beds were comfortable. Most of the staff was nice and helpful.

The bathroom tub was stained and dated. Some of the mechanisms were hard to use. There were only 2 towels provided for a room with 2 double beds. When we asked for more, they never arrived.

The room we stayed in was quite spacious (it was the end unit on the floor). Our unit and the parts of the building we saw (lobby, elevator, pool and sleeping unit) were kept up nicely and quite clean.

While the staff was very courteous they did initially check us into a unit that was already occupied. They remedied that quickly and we had no other hiccups during our stay.

Excellent central location, 24 hour access to soda and snacks next to the front desk, comfortable beds, very clean, desk staff were great during check in and check out- as well as when I cut my thumb and needed a bandage in the middle of the night and when we decided to get snacks at 5am.

Lighting in the bathroom was quite poor, only light was over the door, so the mirror wasn't very well lit to do my makeup.

I liked that they listed breakfast options then cooked and packaged your choices the next morning. The staff all wore masks and social distancing was observed. The front desk person was very friendly.

The items one usually expects in a room, shampoo, coffee, towels etc. were sparse. Getting on the internet was a bit confusing. I finally made a connection, but it wasn't secure since it wasn't password protected. When I called IT support the staff agreed the connection wasn't password protected but it was nevertheless secure, which as an IT person myself I'm pretty sure was a lie.

It's a beautiful setting when you arrive. The beds were very comfortable. Nice having a Keurig in the room and also having a fridge. Lots of space in the room.

I was a party of 2 people. There was 1 wash cloth....NO Grand towel and 2 bath towels. The bathtub was not cleaned. While dinner stains looked permanent, there was stuff that washed away when the water ran in the tub. The towel bar was not there and the end piece fell off the wall. Not a huge deal but if you don't have the bar there then make sure the end piece is secured to the wall.

Location is fantastic to downtown Lafayette. The staff is always exceptional and super helpful.

Just chance but one of the elevators was out several times. Also the breakfast is less than stellar.

Room was clean and had a new feel. Hotel was in great shape overall. Good breakfast and friendly breakfast staff. Great location for downtown. Quiet.

Mattress sagged, even through the mattress topper, it gave the impression of an old mattress. Check in took ages. Pool very cold.

Breakfast staff was very friendly. Bar staff were very friendly. The beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was knowledgeable about local restaurants and had nice recommendations.

The room rate was a little pricey.

Great hot water and water pressure. Mattresses amazingly comfortable. Hotel staff at front desk VERY friendly and helpful.

No microwave in the room. No hand towels. No room cleaning unless requested, and I didn't see a notice to that effect. Carpet seemed to be unvacuumed before my arrival. Water spots on chrome. No instructions on how the heating/cooling worked.
