Baymont by Wyndham Davenport

There were so many negative reviews. Well I must say staff was very friendly. Our room was clean. Sure hotel dated needs to remodel. Yes sheets wrinkled but who cares thats what happens when you wash and put into a basket and not fold right away. Its was a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. I was just there to sleep. So it did the job for me. So for us it was a good experience.

If you want breakfast you have to get there right at 7am we slept in till 830am went down it was all empty. Was supposed to go till 9am. Pool closed should be noted on website.

The room was great. No breakfast on Friday morning, just coffee. Saturday, we were checking out around 6:52 am and looked like they were just starting to put out anything towards food wise. Kind of late for anyone like us who had to leave early to get to the event we were in town for. But otherwise we love our stay here and always stay here every time we come to Davenport, IA.

Everything was fine, nothing we didn't like.

Housekeeping could do a more thorough job in cleaning. All the major areas you would expect clean were-tub, sink, bed linens, carpet vacuuming, however, I think it’s time for a deep cleaning to get the areas you don’t usually get on a daily basis. It’s an older hotel which doesn’t bother me but other travelers should take that into account when considering staying here if that is an issue for them.

Good check-in. Dorothy was very pleasant to deal with. Room was comfortable and about average in this price range. One light was out, mentioned it at the desk and it was fixed before we got back. Close to Interstate and downtown accessible .

A little tricky to get to without GPS but doable.

We’re truck drivers and we’re looking for a convenient stop for one night. The road leading to the hotel is rough for a gooseneck! The young man at the front counter, I didn’t catch his name but he was so nice! Most front desk associates checking us in look like they hate their job but he was kind and friendly. The stair way was nasty upon walking in. The housekeeping should vacuum then and spray air freshener. As soon as we got onto our floor we smelled lots of cigarettes but in the room did not smell it. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean! The value was great!

I was pleased with everything from the friendliness of the staff to the homey feel of the hotel. I will definitely be a returning customer and let other people who are in the area know this is an amazing place to stay.

Good breakfast - as expected. Very well located, just off the highway, close enough places to eat one could walk did not feel too dangerous in the snow.

Room was a bit difficult to keep bed closer to door warm without boiling person closer to window. While one could walk to food the path was too dark for that to be safe.

The employees working at this place are amazing and they make this hotel a 5 stars hotel .If it was not for them ,Mrs.Dorothy ,the new guy,the girls cleaning at first and 4th floor ,and all the others that smiled at me and they were ready to help like a family ,they made those areas in which the facility lacked an excellent experience .

Carpet in all the facility needs to be replaced ,the breakfast should be more qualitative,furniture in the facility needs to be replaced ,doors need to be fixed .

No ice machine on 4th floor. Difficult time getting the tv to work. Front desk was difficult to reach by phone from the room. Number always busy.

Mario was working at the front desk and he was phenomenal. He was extremely polite and he was graciously handling multiple situations at once. He was very competent and personable.

The rooms could definitely be updated. The walls were peeling and it didn't feel entirely clean. The floor was still dirty when I went in and the TV was left on. I wasn't sure that housekeeping had finished before I checked in. I suppose this is a good place to stop for a night if you're on your way through to a different location.
