Super 8 by Wyndham Hays KS

Good value for the money. Came in for a track meet. The check in and check out staff were very friendly, Room was clean. Location was right off the highway so their was a bit of noise which was to be expected. Breakfast was fine plenty of options for the the value. Would stay again for this value.

Our room was as the front of the hotel. The gas station across the street had its flood lights pointed directly into our room. Not the hotels fault. May need some heavier curtains to keep the light out.

the motel Super 8 was very clean and smelled great. There were No lingering residual smells of wet carpet or animals or smoke … that was great. Our room was spotless and carpet felt good under my feet. The fridge worked well. we didn’t use the microwave. The soaps in the bathroom were really nice smelling. The gentleman at the front desk was amazing! He was so polite over the phone even when I called 3 times! He got a cot for our room which was more like a twin bed! very nice.

The only thing I can say negative would be that the parking lot could be spruced up somehow. which isn’t very negative…

The room was about normal. Carpet was stained, but was quite clean otherwise. TV was good and the breakfast was pretty good too. Breakfast didn't offer eggs or meat, but there was a pancake maker.

The location could be better. It is close to the interstate and a major highway to start with, but now there is a roundabout right in front of the place. The location would also make it tough to access with large trucks. However, it is not far when you want to get back on the road.

The room was spacious and I liked the chair. The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The location right off I-70 is great and it's close to plenty of places to eat and fill up the car before we continue our travels.

The room was quiet except it was near the stairs and I was woke up a few times with people going up and down and talking loud. It sounded like they were mostly kids.

The person at the front desk was very helpful and had a very good manner.. The rooms were clean. The halls and the rooms smelled fresh and did not have soil or stains. I like that it was a non-smoking hotel. That makes a big difference for me.

The property was not well-maintained except for the pavement and parking that could be upgraded. Also it would be nice and very beneficial if the breakfast had protein such as eggs or sausage or cheese… There was yogurt and cereal with milk , juice, toast, bagels, pancakes and I can’t remember what else. Of course coffee :-).

The staff was great. I failed to account for the change in time zones from CO to KS. It meant that the young man at the desk had to wait untill almost 2:30am to help us check in. He was great and gracious. The breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are beautifully decorated. They have more of a B&B look and feel than a small motel. There are loaner books in the lobby that I think you can read...thoughtful stuff like this defines the culture and atmosphere at this great place. If Oakley KS is on your route, give this thoughtful place a nod.

Nothing not to like unless you are looking for a much more sophisticated and costly place.

Location accepted pets and the room had plenty of room to spread out. Check-in was very easy and Tom had a lot of great bits of trivia and info about the surrounding area. Was nice chatting with him when checking in. Room a bit noisy with being next to the interstate, but not bad. Room was clean, but had a slight smoke smell when I entered the room. Turned in a/c unit and odor went away. Bed was comfortable. Able to park right outside of the room window.

Thought the carpet was in need of a good cleaning.

Super 8 was a clean facility. The room had an excellent bed. I had a good breakfast in the morning. The location was in a busy area, but my room was quiet. The room was reasonably priced compared to rooms in Colorado and New Mexico, but then it is Hays, KS

The only negative was the location. But there was good and easy parking. The traffic noise was eliminated inside the hotel. I would stay there again. Especially due to the comfortable bed.

We booked this hotel driving into town on a long, cross country trip and were looking for something affordable with a comfortable bed where we could pull over for a short stay. This place was perfect. It was clean, easy to find and affordable. Comfortable beds and pillows.

The only drawback to this place was the front desk help staff. We had some trouble initially booking the hotel because of poor internet on the highway. We tried to call them and book directly and had two separate phone interactions with different staff members where they were very unhelpful and rude. Luckily, Booking.com customer service was very helpful and solved our problem for us.

Very convenient to I70. I thought it might be noisy as close as we were to the highway but it was nice and quiet. We had a nice large room with a king bed. Bathroom looked like all new tub/ shower, sink and toilet. Very clean. Breakfast included. Toast, bagels, cereal, pancakes, yogurt, juice but no eggs or sausage.

It does have stairs and didn’t see an elevator for those who might need it. It wasn’t a problem for us.
