Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites McPherson, an IHG Hotel

Check in was fast and friendly. Complimentary bottled water for guests. Room was sparkling clean with no chemical smell. Comfortable beds and pillows, spacious bathroom. UTD decor. Breakfast was delicious and good variety, crispy bacon! Price was considerably less than a hotel near the interstate. I will absolutely book again when traveling this way.

It is what we expected the experience to be for the Holiday Inn franchise we are accustom to expect. Our room could have been a little cleaner and the hot tub at the facility did not work. The pool was warmer than the hot tub.

More attention to cleaning the room between guest. We found cup or drink rings on our bed tables. That were obviously not wiped down prior to the previous guest. I expect a disinfecting wipe down of surfaces between guest. That was obviously missed.

The staff was exceptional! Our room was just what we expected when we arrived. Breakfast was well tended.

Weekend breakfast did not start until 7:30 which is late for us. However, they opened a bit early which was great. I was disappointed that our room was not refreshed after the first night.

Physical plant was as good as it gets with a delicious breakfast and helpful employees.

Being old i didn't like the walk to the room from the elevator. At least a movable butler to handle luggage was available. Not a lot of parking as the lot was shared with another hotel.

The gentleman at the front desk was really very very kind and welcoming- we arrived late and he offered us snacks and beverages! He has been there every time we have stayed and honestly I stay because of his friendliness- other hotels are near and comparable but I choose Holiday Inn because I of his welcome- other front deck people are friendly as well, he just goes out of his way.

Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and kept everything topped up.

Rooms were not cleaned each day. Tea and coffee was not topped up daily in rooms but could get more from reception.

Very clean, friendly staff!

Not that we disliked them but beds were very high up off the ground for a little older person and the toilet was super low for the same reason! Not a major issue.

I liked the set up in the room - a place to put your suitcase that wasn’t a fold-out suitcase stand - a built in place - I loved it. I like the no curtain but rather the set of two roller shades that blacked out the room ... in room coffee — In- shower Watkins body wash shampoo and conditioner... smelled lovely ...

The only thing was , even though there was hot water in the shower, there could have been more pressure !

The beds and pillows were super comfortable! The shower had good pressure. The front desk was nice and helpful. Housekeeping made sure we had everything we needed.

The air would turn off and on so it was either too cold or too hot. When it was warm, the room smelled musty. Everything else was fine.

The Gal that checked us in was amazing. Not sure if she was just extra friendly or being observant as well. It was just my young son and I with a single back pack. She made sure she got all of my car info and took time to ask what brought us to McPherson. Note it was 9pm anywhere else I have stated hardly any words are exchanged this late in the day. Needless to say I appreciate the extra friendliness/observation specially now days.

Something sounded like a washer washing none stop guessing it was a fan of sometime on the floor somewhere. But other then the annoying constant ticking all else was great!!
