It's absolutely gorgeous inside the restaurant smell amazing. The pool is beautiful. The water fountain in the middle is absolutely peaceful.

The one thing that I had to say that about the property is, it was cooler in the hallway than it was in our room. I still cannot get a hold of the manager. They literally brought us two fans to cool us off. I didn't stay there for a leisure I drive six hours to get to Topeka once a month and haven't found a hotel that I can stay at every month. I thought this was the one, but when I had to get up at 4 o'clock to go outside to cool off in the staff felt bad for me and My wife but we can't get the manager to call us back

This is a very nice hotel, way better than I'm used to in my price range. I was shocked I could get a room in such a luxurious hotel for this price. The only explanation I could think of was that they rely on convention and legislative session business, and offer discounts like this to fill rooms when neither are happening. Everything was exceptional. The room was comfortable, quiet and extremely well-furnished. A pool and hot tub were available. The complimentary breakfast had eggs, links, sausage, biscuits & gravy, and potatoes, as well a juice and continental breakfast options. The location was convenient to the interstate and many shopping options.

Nothing to dislike.

We always stop at this hotel because it's a good half way point between where we live and where my parents live. The hotel staff is always very nice, and surprisingly funny conversationally. The place is never crowded (when we're there anyway) it's a short walk to the downtown area (you gotta eat at that iron rail brewing up the road!) And the hotel has a great breakfast. Very comfortable beds. The main area is cool. It's like having the paris hotel in Vegas all to yourself.

It's definitely not the cleanest hotel, but whatever. The elevator is a little sketch too. Still love this place.

I arrived by train extremely early in the morning, and staff were kind enough to help me store my bags behind the desk before check-in. The common areas are large and clean, as was my room. I had to leave before breakfast, however, it is included.

Although only a five minute walk from the Amtrak train, everything else is a decent (walking) distance away (although that seems typical for Topeka). The hotel itself is massive, which gives it the feeling of being mostly empty. As a solo female traveler I was a little creeped out by the isolation. The hotel had the usual wear and tear, but nothing dramatic. This is overall what I expect from a budget hotel, so I have few complaints.

Our stay in Topeka was pleasant and inviting. The hotel is quite charming: as you enter, there's a hallway designed like a street, complete with streetlights and tables. This area also serves as the breakfast space, styled to resemble an Italian restaurant next to a water fountain. I loved this feature as it gave me the feeling of being in an old European town. The hotel also boasts large meeting rooms, including one that can accommodate up to 1,000 people, which I found impressive. We only stayed for one night, but we didn't lack anything. There was tea and coffee in the room, and the night was cozy with no noise from neighboring rooms. Breakfast included omelets, sausages, fries, and yogurts, along with the usual milk and cereals. The lady serving breakfast was very welcoming and nice. The front desk people were very welcoming as well!

Staff, location, breakfast, gym, amenities and game room. Management, front desk staff, maid service personnel and maintenance workers were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Every time that I interact with one of these individuals was a pleasant interaction.

The most important thing that I didn’t like was the ongoing strong smell of cigarettes smoke coming inside of my room through the vents. Although the hotel staff did try to assist me on numerous occasions, the smoke was constant. Thank you staff for trying to rectify the situation.

We enjoyed staying on the 9th floor. The beds were very comfortable and we slept really well both nights. The location was great. The price was good for our budget!

Only 1 of 2 elevators were operable the whole stay. The breakfast options were typical, but didn't taste great. People on our floor, in the hallways were loud early & late and the walls were thin. The a.c. didn't keep us cool at night. The hotel, overall was pretty outdated.

Breakfast was lovely. We were only there for one night and were able to walk to a restaurant in the main downtown area. Our room was clean and spacious.

Our first choice restaurant was closed and our 2nd choice only offered seating in the upstairs which was extremely noisy though okay. We did walk, although the streets were fairly barren as we turned onto the main road and crossed the highway overpass to the hotel. Many folks would not have ventured that far. It was a bit of a hike from the lobby to the elevators for the towers. Felt a bit disconnected.

The price was great. The hotel was quiet even with the Chiropractor convention happening. Hot water and great water pressure. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Parking was free and plenty. And free breakfast 😋.

There were gnats in the room and the fan in the bathroom was loud and unpleasant but wasnt separate from the light so it couldn't be cut off. Also the sauna was out of order.

Room was OK - everything worked - paid a bunch to get the room with a spa tub, but maybe worth it (great treat). The stay was good only because we had not expected to use a lot of the facilities onther than the pool(s), which were fine. LIKED the breakfast offering (choices and variety), but the food not that great (i.e. scrambled eggs & no toast). It was a pleasant stay only because everything was clean - just old and run down looking.

LOTS OF THINGS. EVERYTHNG, except pool was closed down - particularly no restaurant or dining facilities available. Room did not have a decent place for 2 people to eat, snack, talk, play (i.e. no little table with a couple of chairs). The place was clean, but needs an overhaul - felt very barren, even deserted - only 5 cars in the parking lot when we arrived at 1 PM. Given that, I understand why you can't affort to fix it up. Probably less that 20 rooms used out of hundreds - don't see how you can even stay in business (which I am sure you can't). Looked to ONCE be a grand old hotel.
