Budget Inn & Suites Baton Rouge

See those glowing reviews? Turns out that they are 100% correct. A mile or so off the beaten track but still easy to get to, the Budget Inn & Suites was every bit as good as the Marriott I stayed in the night before. Of course, there was one difference - about $70. My room was spacious, clean, and had every amenity. The manager is friendly, bright, and on top of things. The place may not look like much from the outside, but the room is everything you'd want.

Its not the Marriott … However great front Desk person, checkin fast and efficient. location soso dated building but like reviews stated, perfectly clean newer finishes in rooms . Good linens , comfortable bed, kitchenette . we were passing thru the area found this place on booking.com . Very happy for the price.

exterior does not convey how nice the room was.

This little motel was very quaint amd SUPER clean. It was very obvious that the place has been totoally renovated. We were shocked by how. ice the room was. Unlike other reviewers, I wasn't turned off by the exterior. It's just an older style, single level motei, but it is nicely landscaped and looks like it was recently painted. To me, it has a unique style of nostalgia. It's adorable.

Just one issue; if you don't want a REALLY firm mattress (hard as a Fred Flintstone bed) ask the very nice manager for a softer mattress. I got almost no sleep because the bed was way too hard. I like a firm mattress and in fact.my.bed at home is pretty firm, but that bed was ridiculous.

EVERYTHING! When u see the outside u think, well the rooms r going to b kinda run down, smelly. NOT! The room was fantastic! Above and beyond what we expected! Definitely worth the money! Super clean, up to date, full size frig, microwave, stove, bathroom very nice! We loved our stay! Definitely recommend this place. PJ manager even showed us to our room. All 1st floor rooms. We will stay here again if we get back to Baton Rogue. LSU basketball arena was close and easy to find from hotel.

Us being able to stay longer! There was nothing we didn't like!

The staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations and make our stay the best it could be even when we arrived late. From the outside the place didn’t look promising but the inside was fantastic and the staff alone could have made up for everything if the inside was the same condition as the outside.

The outside looked very dirty and run down and terrified view. First thing i did when i woke up was look out the back window because I didn’t realize it was there and i saw a butt naked very old man in his backyard. Everything bad was either not able to be fixed or clear the staff was doing something about it.

It's off the beaten path but a total gem! Upon check in, the owner upgraded us & the room could not have been nicer - it was actually an efficiency - very large (probably 300 sq ft), full fridge, nice kitchenette with two burners, sink & cabinets. Bed was comfortable & bathroom was also spacious with nice quality towels. The owner is also a gem - very personable & a true hotelier - his mission is to provide his guests with immaculate, well-maintained accommodations. We were only passing through but the room & the owner's care of the property made us want to stay.

The owner JP met us outside the office, personally, when we arrived!! He was so accommodating, especially to my health and physical problems, that he allowed me to stay in the room he showed us , to make sure the room was ok, while my husband checked us in. The room was very very nice!! Very comfortable and relaxing!! Had walk in shower, king bed, and 50in.flat screen tv!!! He had told us since highway was right there it might be a little noisy, but with the air conditioner on, It wasn't bothersome at all!! Was actually some of the best sleep and rest I had had the whole trip(and we traveled 6 states)!!! I wish this had been closer to home cause I would stay here every trip I made!! Will definitely stay here every trip we get to make it back!!!! Brand new rooms, freshly remodeled, very clean, and well kept and quiet !!! Even brought us a bag of ice. Also had a small college refrigerator and microwave in the room!!! Thk you again for your hospitality!!!! Wish all were like you and your business!!! Very welcoming, comfortable, and safe feeling!!!!🏖️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The rooms are remodeled and in great condition. The manager was easy to reach even when we got their late and made sure he was available after hours after we arrived after 1am unexpectedly due to traffic.

The area it is located does look super sketchy, but I promise that the rooms are nice. We also for some reason thought there would be a free breakfast, but this was not the case for this hotel. asdafrf

This place is a gem, in the rough. It’s a little far out and the exterior is a little foreboding, BUT the rooms are much cleaner, nicer, and overall better than the 5-6 other hotels I’ve stayed at in BR. PJ, the owner/operator, makes it feel like you’re staying with family, in the good way! He’s kind, considerate, and quick to do whatever he can to ensure you have a nice stay. It’s a great place for anyone traveling for work, the kitchenette is a luxury these days, it saves you from eating all of your meals at restaurants.

It’s far out and there aren’t many options for things nearby

Freshly remodeled room. Nice new towels and linens. Very clean with no bad odors. Very accommodating front desk employee. This is a motel and I liked the convenience of being able to park my car right outside my room.

Location seemed a little sketchy but the management assured me it was safe and they monitor the grounds. No restaurants or convenience stores within walking distance that was aware of.
