Holiday Inn Baton Rouge-South, an IHG Hotel

My room was great. Front desk and bar staff were also fantastic. Not totally modern but a well maintained, clean facility with great rooms.

Only thing I can really ding them on is was the overpriced non-complimentary breakfast. The same bland, watery eggs that I'm happy to eat for free all day long ran me $17 here. I would have been better off grabbing some fast food on my way out of town. Also, the elevators are painfully slow. So slow that I still remember it almost 2 weeks later.

I ordered just sides and it was a good value. Hotel felt safe and clean, room was good.

Lobby bar area is about as ugly and uncomfortable as one could make it. Had to call hotel to tell them I would not be there for the first night and the first person I spoke with was totally out of it. Could not find my reservation. Coffee maker in room did t work. Ordering breakfast is OK, but with the room already very highly priced for the area the food was not a good deal and I only ate there once. Restaurant not very welcoming appearance-wise.

I loved the lobby. The facility was beautiful and the rooms were very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful and I will definitely be back. Live music bar was really nice as well.

The pool hours are only 4p-9p and which doesn't give you much time if your out doing other things. One of the elevators were down during the time of my stay which made the wait time crazy. There was very limited parking spots and all of which were packed.

I love the building the decor it's absolutely beautiful makes you feel comfortable and classy I love the beds they're super comfortable I don't like the location I mean it's directly next door to a hotel that is known for illegal activity but the staff that checked me in last night was impeccable she was so kind and considerate forgot her name but she worked Saturday night on September 3rd 2022 about 9:30 10:00 check in she was amazing

I don't like the location of the Elegant Holiday Inn

Perfect location near my family. Staff showed professionalism at all times. I will stay there again when we are passing through to visit family members. Also it's very close to Shopping Centers.

Maids need to come around daily. Enjoyed the Breakfast and the staff working there in the Restaurant was very helpful and professional. We also updated our Credit Card once we arrived but the charge was still placed on the card on file.

The hotel was clean had breakfast couldn't have meat with 2 pancakes never heard of that.

I stayed for 4 nights and only gotten my room cleaned 1 day even after I called down the room still did not get cleaned. Had to ask for towels and the last night there room still didn't get cleaned and at 9:30 pm they said she haven't made it to my floor yet. At 9:30 pm! Oh my body wash came up missing the first and only day the room got cleaned.

All was well until check out.

When checking out the young lady at the desk said she could not give me a receipt because I book my reservation through booking.com. she said that ya'll are supposed to send receipt to my email. Which I have not received yet. Please look into this matter.

convenient location

our door to our room would not close. it was broken. I called to check in at 3pm and was told there were no rooms cleaned and I couldn't check in until there were available rooms. check in is clearly stated for 3pm. we did get a room with two beds except my card was charged an additional $50

I booked four rooms and everyone enjoyed their breakfast, however, I was very disappointed. I ordered the egg omelet with spinach meal without the mushrooms and went back to my room to enjoy it. I couldn't eat any because there were so many mushrooms on the omelet. I didn't bother to contact the kitchen, as they were closing shortly before my order. The Food and Beverage manager was fantastic and made sure everything was packed nicely and I had what I needed for myself and the kids. The front desk staff were awesome and professional and I felt secure that there was a security guard on site. Overall I would come back for another visit.

I didn't like that the pool was not open at all. The kids were especially disappointed. I specifically chose this hotel for the pools. There should be a notice on the website indicating this. I totally understand it's for Covid protocols, it just would be great to inform others before booking. Also, the elevators are very slow.

I enjoyed the breakfast, employees were very professional and friendly, overall, would recommend.

The only con would be that the inform pool was not heated.
