Red Roof Inn Monroe

We were in town for a dog show so love the fact they don’t charge extra for dogs. Super convenient to civic center. Laminate floors. Hot water. Good selection on TV and wifi good. Plenty of parking and the parking lot was well lit. Cleaning staff came every day. CCTV picked up I was having trouble with my door key one night, and the desk attendant met me on the stairs with a new key as I was going down to tell them. All the staff and cleaners seemed nice/friendly.

The patch of grass for pottying was very small and someone said they saw fleas on their dogs from it so we crossed the road to the patch at the Motel 6 most times even though that side of the road felt a bit “rougher”. The train was close by but I noticed the train horn only the first night. Morning coffee was weak. Fridge didn’t have a freezer compartment. Floor was pretty dirty so wiped it up myself. I find this is common with the laminate floors at hotels so carry my own cleaning for it. All in all, pretty minor niggles. I will come here again.

I thought that we'd be running extra-late, and when I called the hotel and told them, they assured me that, since I called, they would wait for me. I liked the ease of check-in, the clean comfortable room, and the feeling that I was safe in the rough neighborhood. I also liked what they've done with the place. The rooms are renovated and modern.

My son wanted to use the jacuzzi that is built into the tub, but it wasn't working. The tub worked fine otherwise, and I enjoyed the shower. I also noticed that the blow-dryer didn't work. Everything else was fine and dandy!

The room was large, well decorated and clean. The price was excellent. The bed you very comfortable. We slept well. Plenty of parking. Water pressure in shower was great. Would recommend it to others and would stay there again

The lady who checked us in was anything but friendly. That and the fact that the bathroom door hinges were falling off were the only two draw backs to our stay.

Vinyl plank flooring was nice. Easier to clean than carpet. Location, accommodating us with a ground floor was a plus.

The sliding pocket door to the bathroom area was hard to access in order to close. A handle or something would make it easier to get a grip on to close it. Had to grab it at the top of the door to pull it to close. A short person would not be able to reach it.

room was very clean. honestly just kind of run down outside of the building. not a fan of Monroe in general

location and outside seemed very sketchy. a lot of people out late being loud

The rooms inside looked way better than the outside of the property.

The property looked a little dirty and uncared for on the outside and the office. I was just passing through with my family so it was just a one night stay. I tried to order pizza but they wouldn’t deliver to that property so I had to pick it up.

The staff was very nice and the room was nice. I also liked the jacuzzi tub that in the bathroom. The hotel was a reasonable price.

I was satisfied with the hotel. I just wished they had an elevator. It was a little hard for my mother and aunt to walk up the stairs with their luggage. Overall it was a nice experience.

Extremely clean, fresh modern decor, convenient location. Very nice to have a microwave and fridge. The gentleman who checked me in was kind and accommodating. Price point is a very good value. No pet fee gets it preference over, as an example, La Quinta in Monroe, which is nearly twice the price with pet fee, and was pretty awful my last stay: dirty, needing maintenance and repairs.

While still a wee bit tired in some ways (exterior check in lobby counter as an example) they have done a heroic and successful job with their efforts, especially in the room, to update/upgrade an old building.

The room was very clean, large and comfortable. Very good for the price. Just need it a quick stay for the night and i couldn't be happier.

I could hear the loud neighbors next door and upstairs. But No that big of a deal.

I loved the interior of my room. The single window in a corner with the wooden slat blind was great, I loved the brick wall, really really made the room!

Coming down the stairs, the bottom stair is a higher step down to the walkway, was unexpected, can be a hazard if not holding the rail
