Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Augusta

The hotel is only minutes from downtown Augusta and far enough away to avoid any major traffic congestion. Comfortable bed, plus our room had a nice TV and mini fridge. Great for a one or two night stay. Breakfast was good with lots of options and of course was free with an overnight stay. All in all a solid hotel.

Our sink in bathroom was a really slow drain. Make sure you bring your own water from a store for your fridge. The market in the hotel charges $3.50 per bottle. Yikes!!

The location worked for what we were doing in Maine. Breakfast was alright. The one thing for breakfast was that the coffee was horrible. Very strong, the last day of our stay my husband could not even drink it. Not sure if the brand they use is dark and bitter or the brewing method needs tweaking. The staff was exceptional. They were able to accommodate us with an early day arrival and kept us in the same room for the duration.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The whole place was very clean. There were ample amenities and our room had a tub! It was good to have a soak after a long day.

Some updates are needed, as the place is very clean but there is obvious wear and tear that may be mistaken for being “dirty”. Understandable that would be the case post-Covid though and the whole experience was safe, quiet, comfortable and clean.

The facility was very clean, room was comfortable, and had all the amenities you could need. I had taken an unplanned trip, and was "living" in this establishment for 10 days while on the east coast. Not only was the front desk staff warm, and friendly every time I entered the property, but they were fantastic with providing additional information on what to do/see while in the area. They made me feel as though I was "home", and a part of their small family. Can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel and it's staff! Location was also very convenient to access just about anything you could need!

The hotel was easily located. The check in was easy and the fellow was so nice! The room was clean, the bathroom spotless. Breakfast was excellent and well done. It was an outstanding experience and is now our new go-to spot when we’re in the area and are staying overnight.

I love this hotel. It has a very large amount of personal meaning to me. I’ve been staying there for 20 years. We love the pool and breakfast. Beds are so comfortable and the pillows are awesome!!! The shower is awesome! Unfortunately, my next visit I’m going to have to stay at a more affordable hotel.

Too expensive

Eggs were not real, would have preferred real eggs

I missed breakfast but an employee went over and beyond to personally serve my friends and I breakfast. The service was beyond excellent.

The mattresses in the rooms were extremely soft and not very comfortable

Nice location and complimentary breakfast and coffee.

Cleanliness of room. There was popcorn on the floor behind a chair and hair in the bathtub. Also, the fridge was not very clean and made a funky, loud noise throughout the night. We thought of unplugging it, but needed it for our food.

We were on the first floor and even with the curtains drawn the light outside our room was lighting up our room. Very annoying.
