We enjoyed our stay immensely at the Saco Motel. The reception was equipped with coffee and tea, fresh fruit and morning pastries. The outdoor pool and sun chairs were clean and there were two parasols for shade. Our room had everything we needed, comfortable bed and pillows, lots of fresh towels, makeup remover pads, soap and shampoo. Bring your hair dryer if you use one. The staff were magnificent. We strongly suggest staying here if you’ll be in Old Orchard. It’s only 3 minutes to the beach.
We loved absolutely everything about the property.

What did I like, quoth thee? Easy to answer--easy check in/out, good location, the rooms were refurbished from the original circa 1960 first Motel. The furniture was solid and basic and useful. It was a bit over filled, you had to 'dance' between the bed edge and the fridge, but NO complaint of it. The door lock was the basic dead bolt with a REAL METAL KEY! no ^^%%%**magnetic key card. I hate these, they work sometimes, sometimes you stand in the rain for X minutes trying to get it to work. The bed was CLEAN and comfortable. The paint was on the new side, the plumbing was 'out of date' but USEFUL, the most important detail. A grab bar to the shower would be a good addition. The entire hotel shows care, attention to details, well paved and painted room numbers in each parking slot, great idea! Also, they offered outdoor chairs, for the right season. This is a HUGE improvement to some Hotel 6 motels I have stayed at. Some of them are also homeless shelters of some species. And that brings its train of evils. Some Hotel 6 motels were in an Industrial park! I no longer make longer trips that require a motel stay. And when I did on this occasion, I knew where I wanted to stay. The Saco Motel was the place I began my working life; as a teen-ager circa 1966.
What did I not like? I have to THINK about that------ahh, a tiny two items. One the short abrupt up step from side walk into the room{its thus, if I recall aright, to allow for underfloor plumbing}. So, if you are incautious, you will stumble. I have limited mobility, and its a 'trick' to get out the narrow door with luggage, with the drop down. And a grab rail to the shower and the toilet wall would be an improvement, espc with the low toilet height. But it WAS not a 'make or break' issue.

At check-in, Miranda was personable, attentive and helpful. She is a great "face" for the business. My wife enjoyed the pool- I found it a bit too cold. We were both impressed by the level of upkeep in and around the pool and its enclosure. The air conditioner kept things cool enough for my wife, and (thankfully) did not affect my asthma- both indicating a newer or well maintained unit. Location was nearly ideal, as we were just 6 minutes drive from the church location for our Operation Christmas Child event.
The beds were on the small side, and we're not large people. Entering traffic during the day was difficult. The office was closed when we were preparing to leave in the morning, so we had no access to extra towels, etc.

A lovely motel, in a nice town. We really enjoyed our visit. The rooms were spotless clean, bed very comfortable, had everything we needed including coffee making facilities, TV and good wifi. The reception staff were very friendly and offered advice about places to eat in the area. There was no shortage of eateries in walking distance. We would certainly stay again and recommend for anyone wishing to stay in the area.

Location Location Location. Everything you need within 3 blocks 🎉 💜🎉( Walgreens,I Hop,KFC,Taco Bell, Dunkin, Starbucks, Hannaford Gas station, Sports bar,Pizza place, Wendy's, Bank). The Motel Staff was Amazing. The Place was super clean also,as I do not drive, the transit system was very convenient. Busses to Portland, Ongnquit right on route.
I would not say this is a " I didn't like it "... But the beds are comfortable but the mattresses could be updated. A small table in the rooms would be very convenient

I liked the rooms out front near the pool. Comfortable bed with a good air conditioner that kept the room very cool and comfortable. When I asked to change my room the staff was very accommodating and kind about it.
I did not like the rooms out back not near the pool. It was extremely dark at night time with no outside lights on when I first arrived and I almost didn't feel safe.

When I booked did not realize I booked for two full beds, needed a queen. They were able to full fill that request. Very friendly. The fixtures were a bit older, but everything was very clean and crisp.
Pool was not ready. Not a problem it was too cold out. My husband is a smoker, he was hoping to have the umbrella on the table where the smoking area is. Other people expressed that also.

Clean place. Convenient location. PIcnic table by pool. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Very easing upon arrival and checkout. Beds were comfortable. Mini=fridge came in handy. One page rules/recommendations given upon arrival had clear, concise info and recommendations for local meals.
Sink in bathroom too small and too low. Mirror in main room hung way too low on wall.

This was a place we stayed years ago and what a fabulous job was done to renovate the motel to modern tastes and standards. Exceptionally clean and maintained, fresh and even pristine lines and numbers on the parking lot. Spoke with John who has been involved with the owners for many years to upgrade and maintain the property. Amazing pride of ownership and constant improvement. Location super for exploring this beaches area and Portland. Highly recommended.
Our room was not fully renovated so the bathroom sink was a bit small but not really and issue.

It was perfect for what we needed for 1 night. Close to my venue & the price was on point. Front office worker was very pleasant & helpful.
It wasn't anything that we disliked because we knew going in that it was a small room, but it was definitely tiny! Again though, it worked for what we needed so no complaints.
