We stayed at the Silvershell for 4 days. I can honestly say it is a pleasant and special experience. The home is clean, safe and comfortable with the bonus of free parking and excellent location. The garden behind the house is very impressive .You can tell how much care and attention George, the owner, has put into the place. George and Caroline are great to chat with and ask for recommendations. We really enjoy our stay here! Thank you for the raspberry ice cream and the warm talk we had. We would come back again and highly recommend this place. Hope the family all the best !

Let me tell you about a beautiful found treasure. First was marrying my beautiful wife, second was meeting our hosts George and Jean on the same day. Proprietors of "Silvershell Inn": Built in 1799, it reflects the patriotic and historical spirit of Americana. All wrapped into a cozy and welcoming atmosphere of a Bed and Breakfast. Being a history buff, I was amazed with the pristine shape of the 3 acre property. Truly lovely and breathtaking. The house is abounding with appropriate era antique furnishings. All were in impeccable shape and decorated very nicely. Our suite rooms were a colonial and French Lafayette room. As close as you can get to time traveling into the past. But without the era clothes and language. And with all the modern conveniences of home. What a wonderful experience. Breakfast was exceptional, hot, delicious and served timely. Choices were pre ordered before arrival. George and Jean were very friendly, also very attentive to our needs. Felt like family. Above and beyond really great people. Very easy to talk with, and very informative. Gave us a pass to go to a beautiful private beach. Named Silvershell Beach. What a coincidence. Marion is a beautiful, small town with friendly people. We also visited a local church for Sunday mass. With amazing worship songs and many musical ( Organ) instruments. The Pastor Eric was a very sincere and good Preacher. We felt at home visiting and fellowshipping with the members. We will be back to this quaint town, and staying longer at the Silvershell Inn. An amazing experience... Salvatore &Terri Pergola

I wish when I booked this one night honeymoon stay, that we booked several more nights. It was like staying with a family you like, and don't want to part with...

After eight great days, we really miss Jean and George!! They felt like family. The house is so beautiful and has tremendously good vibes. This is more than a b&b, this is a very special place, a real treasure, a gem!

Everything is perfect! We will stay here again, for sure!!

Host was responsive to all of our requests for breakfast and supplied a delicious meal at the scheduled time. Location is central to all of Marion area. Home is gracious, elegant, and the gardens are beautiful.

Excellent breakfast which we were requested to select in advance, by telephone with the innkeeper, unusual but ensuring that we had just what we wanted. The room was quiet and we slept great; we were the only guests in the house that night. Jean and George were extremely friendly and conversational, a pleasure to meet them.

we have been traveling for about a week and this is the best place we stayed in this trip. Everything was perfect- the venue, the rooms and the breakfast. The breakfast was beautiful and tasty, Above all, the owners, Jean and George were wonderful and helpful. When we asked for tomatoes Jean ran to the garden and picked fresh ones,,,We will be back!!

Lovely and generous hosts! Beautiful home, grounds, garden area and patio. Excellent amenities. Perfect location ! Close to everything and yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Thank you very much Jean, George and Carol Ann!

breakfast was wholesome and delicious. They customized it to our tastes and dietary requirements. The location was perfect, easy to find and close to everything downtown Marion has to offer. The property was spacious, quaint and charming. Jeanie and George were outstanding hosts! we loved our stay, the inn is beautiful and historically appointed. The room was so comfortable. Our hosts were so thoughtful and conscientious. It was so relaxing, we felt so cared for! George even shared his knowledge of maritime history with us which was fascinating.

Nothing! Everything was better than expected. We were going to stay at a Marriott but decided to broaden our search. So glad we found Silvershell! Would definitely stay again.

George and Jean were very kind, fun and fascinating to talk with. All the rooms were artistically decorated. I often felt like I was living in a Newport mansion during the 18th Century. During my 4 day stay I chose to sample two different suites. The beds at Silver Shells were both fabulous and so were all the meals. Jean made amazing soup, muffins and superb French coffee during my stay. The price of $99 per night is an exceptional value. I plan to return next summer so I can enjoy the picturesque 3 acres graced with lovely trees, old stone walls and a small orchard. Marion is a charming village near Buzzards Bay. George is a true gentleman and a wonderful tour guide.

No complaints here. My room, as well as the entire property, was gorgeous and breakfast was superb. The proprietors couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Highly recommended!
