Cartier Mansion0

The Cartier Mansion was an amazing experience! The home is owned and operated by a super friendly and helpful couple. The history of the mansion is all over, making it fun to find something new about the orginal owner and the build every time you walk around the property. The original woodworking is beautiful, my wife and I spent at least an hour of our trip just looking at the all the details the house was built with. The breakfast was fantastic and comfy with the owners serving the food with a description of what it is and where it originated from. Being just walking distance to downtime made it fun to just walk to lunch and dinner. We look forward to staying here again.

I especially enjoyed and appreciated the attention to detail, and personal focus on behalf of the hosts. The breakfast was superb, very unique and served with love and kindness.

The only thing, and this is really nitpicking, was a repeating, intermittent sound of water running (filling something??) during the night at times when no one was probably using water. I still got a good night sleep so it was not a big deal.

Jenna and Chris were excellent hosts. They thought of every little detail, had amazing decor sense that was a great blend of modern and historic, were friendly and respectful, served a delicious breakfast that catered well to my dietary needs, and kept an incredibly clean home. There were even board games all set up and ready to play! We would absolutely stay here again!

I loved everything. We felt very welcome during our stay and the owners were super friendly and knowledgeable on the history of the mansion. The room was beautiful and clean and the bed was comfortable.

I wouldn't change anything personally. The parking lot is a little on the small side, but given the location that's to be expected and street parking is available if you're not good at parking in tight quarters.

Everything was great, very clean and welcoming, great location, friendly staff and hassle free no contact entry/exit provisions.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a lovely B&B, just not right place for us. The room we selected, Round Room, was too small for 2 people, it would be fine for a single person. We had no room to move around or sit. The breakfast, excellent for most - delicious looking french toast with bacon and thick slab of banana bread. We don’t eat either and I don’t eat bacon so we could not enjoy it. I probably should have asked in advance what they would be serving. So it seemed way too expensive for us for what value we got for our one night stay. Coffee was excellent!

This now tops the list of the dozens of B&Bs we have stayed in over 25+ years all around the country. The main mansion itself is in excellent original condition without the disappointing and so often seen "renovations." The Carriage House rooms, however, are brand new and totally renovated to be exceptionally modern and comfortable. Our favorite experience was the fabulous, un-rushed, gourmet breakfast during which we had the opportunity to interact with Jenna and staff.

Almost nothing was wrong, but the high tech streaming TV service offered so many apps and online streaming options that it was difficult to find local news and weather.

The breakfast was great! I liked that we could walk to the restaurant and quality of the restaurant was outstanding! The room was a unique design, I loved the decor. Going through the mansion was like stepping back in time. They also welcomed us to an fire pit gathering and greeted us with a note and sparkling wine!

We wanted to stop by the shops after dinner but even though we finished around 5:30pm the shops were closed.

Chris and Jenna were fantastic hosts. The two breakfasts we had were delicious, especially those lemon ricotta pancakes. I love history and being able to stay at this historic mansion was just the best. Jenna provided an afternoon tour/info session about the house. It was really cool to walk through the house practically as it was when the Cartier family lived there.

The breakfast was our favorite part of our stay. Both mornings the food/drinks were fabulous.

We were disappointed as we didn’t realize our room would be so small/tight. This may have been our fault that we didn’t pay attention when booking. The room seemed fairly clean for the most part,but the floor was dirty in areas. A better system for shampoo/conditioner bottles in the shower would be nice. The rack they were on didn’t keep them in place very well.

Beautifully maintained with most of the original building and decor materials intact and looking pristine. The use of a key pad for doors was very convenient. Loved the fact that there were snacks, a mini fridge with ice, a microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker available for guests.
