Holiday Inn Express & Suites Marquette, an IHG Hotel

We all loved the breakfast! We also loved the way the bedroom had a door which we could close and televisions in both the bedroom and room with the sofa! Even though your hotel is close to 41 it was so peaceful and quiet in our room! That was probably the BEST for us personally. It was also convenient to have a working refrigerator and microwave to help us save a bit more on food during our stay. We also liked that you provided a handout in the lobby on Marquette. The free WIFI was also very helpful. I wish we had remembered our swimsuits for your terrific pool and hot tub. Your staff were all outstanding.

I was hoping to use your laundry facilities. One of your staff told me it was not operational. It was only a minor inconvenience not major.

The hotel was clean! Staff was pleasant and cheerful. Our matress was comfortable. Liked that all bedding was white and clean and fresh. Breakfast was tasty. Thankful for hot food choices. Dining area was visually appealing and kept clean. Bathroom counter was spacious. Liked the spacious counter to put suitcases on, because there was room for more than one suitcase.

The lobby hot water dispenser for tea or cocoa, ran out when I went to make some hot cocoa. Would be nice to have 24 hr lobby acess to cold water drinking dispenser. Wish you had Grab and Go bags, with a water bottle and a snack, to take with us when we left in the morning. Having a 2nd chair and a small table, in rooms, to possibly play a game of cards or board game would be welcomed.

The king suite I booked appeared to have been remodeled. The walk-in shower was great, loved the shower head. I like that the pillow cases indicate soft and firm pillows.

I wish there was an extra blanket in the closet. Whoever plows the parking lot needs to do a better job and clear the walkway between the hotel and the front parking lot.

Breakfast was exceptional! It was a true protein meal to start the day. The room was clean and beds comfortable. There was no traffic noise although it is situated just off the busy highway. That said it was easy access for appointments and shopping. We each received vouchers for the casino along with the casino shuttle so we could relax and have a couple of drinks. All in all an amazing time away from home.

Very convenient location, clean and comfortable other than the carpet, it was stained quite a bit. Would recommend this place to anyone and we will be back!

Bottom floor, we had a view of the parking lot and couldn't open our curtains cuz people parked in front of our window. Next time we'll request second floor. Breakfast wasn't much, stale muffins, yuk, we went out to eat.

The breakfast was hot and delicious. The staff was friendly and easy to talk with. We originally had two King Rooms, I was able to call the week of our stay and switch to two Queen Rooms with no issue.

The only complaint is that the bed my husband and I slept in, dipped in the middle. As far as I know the other 3 beds were fine, however there was only one person sleeping in each. We would stay again and it did not take anything away from our visit.

My wife uses a wheelchair. This stay was the last night of our road trip-- 10th hotel in 11 nights! This was the only hotel that seems like the disability access rooms were designed by someone that uses a wheelchair! While some budget hotels put a grab bar somewhere in the bathroom and call it accessable. This King room had room to maneuver as well as a large bathroom with plenty of grab bars. Very clean and very comfortable.

Road was under construction. Not their fault.

Staff at checkout and check in were amazing. The beds were super comfortable. Good soundproofing. Lots of outlets by the beds. TV remote was in plastic. Great blackout curtains. Fresh baked cookies in the afternoon are a nice touch. It had snowed overnight and walkways were shoveled and treated with salt promptly in the morning. Luggage carts were sanitized between guests. Hand sanitizer was available.

Coffee filter basket was not really clean, and there was an opened bag of chips left from a prior guest by the microwave. I went to retrieve an item from my car late in the evening, and there was a smell of cigarette smoke coming from the front desk office. On my second day, a cleaning staff and a front desk staff were not masked.

The modern decor, comfy beds. Breakfast was a good variety of things!

Location is a little far from downtown to bike, we thought we could access the Iron Ore Heritage trail easier by how close it was on the map but the busy roads and no cross walks made it a little challenging.

Super friendly staff. I even had a chat with the woman that oversaw making the food for breakfast. We had a billing issue we talked to front desk with and was promptly handled and corrected. Check in and check out was smooth and quick.
