The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the continental breakfast being offered. Great location for visiting the Marquette area, and more reasonable pricing at this location is what pulled us in two pay for two nights of lodging. It was strictly used for sleeping only.

Our shower had issues with both the drain not working and the decorative part of the knob pulled off. Hotel is dated to the late 1980’s. The staff needed quite a bit of cream and sugar poured on them to sweeten them up. Felt like we were a bother that we were even staying with them. Also, water was running from up above like a regenerator or water recycler for several hours at a time starting at midnight and kept my husband awake both nights until it stopped.

Traveling with a one year old can be hectic, but the staff at the Magnuson Hotel made it a breeze! Extra blankets, towels, trash bags, etc was very helpful!

The hotel definitely needs some upgrades and renovations. The carpets looks to be the same ones from 20 years ago when I used to stay at the hotel for pool parties! The furniture was comfortable but definitely outdated. The weird platform that the beds are on constantly move, which was like a magnet for my child's head.

There was the most lovely lady at the front desk. She was the nicest person . So very helpful. We frequented a few restaurants via her suggestion. I can't remember her name , but she was a very tiny lady with dark hair. The house keeping staff was wonderful as well. We'll be coming back . My son lives in Ishpeming .

the parking lot was open and brightly lit - the rooms were also relatively soundproofed so although you might hear noises outside your room or from the room next to you - you could easily mistake it for pipes or toilet flushes so it was GREAT for having a baby in the room.

the breakfast didn’t include anything other than juice that would have been suitable for people with food allergies. Even having warm sausage and eggs would’ve been better than dry cornflakes…

Toilet was problematic throughout stay. Didn’t always flush; got clogged regularity (required plunger). Available breakfast was poor; all heavily sugared stuff; minimal fruit, bananas were over ripe- to point of being ready for banana bread.

Comfort & condition of room. Great bed/mattress, ok furniture, but the chair could use a good shampoo!

Highway noise was loud, but there is not much that can be done about that. Walls do not mask conversations in next room.

Breakfast was ok. Awkward to prepare toasted items without counter space. Coffee pot empty but quickly fixed. Garbage was full in breakfast area. My door to my room was broken. Would not stay closed without the dead bolt being locked.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming! Room was very good size and clean!

Key cards didn’t work right away and I couldn’t find a guest bathroom anywhere. AC didn’t work the best.

The room was large, had a couch, fridge, microwave and TV. The shower heads are absolutely the best hotel shower head we have ever used!!!

There was no hot tub, which was one thing we were hoping for. The bathrooms are pretty small.
