I typically use the DoubleTree during business trips in the region. This time I stayed for vacation. The location of the hotel is outstanding. We received a room with a perfect view towards the St. Clairs river and lake Huron. There are walkways along the river which we used in the morning. The gym and the indoor pool area offers a lot of oportunities to excercise.

The price of the hotel is quite high compared to other accomodations in the region. But the view and service offered by the hotel compensate the higher price.

The location is perfect, right on the riverfront with amazing views of the water and the bridge. Easy walk to the riverfront, so fun to watch the huge freighters come through. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. The pool and hot tub area is great

Only two small complaints- they need exhaust fans in the bathrooms for showering, and the bedspreads are way too light- they offer very little warmth. Neither of these issues will prevent me from returning!

My husband and I came back to Port Huron for our 50th Wedding Annv. We wanted to see how much it has changed and just enjoy the beauty of the town. When we arrived the front desk upgraded us to room 256 (with a water view and balcony). That room with that view was just breath taking. We enjoyed our coffee out there and then went for a quick workout in the pool for our old bones :). Breakfast was great but our fish dinner was even better. The staff was beyond awesome. The front desk wasn't able to pull of spa appt. for us but that wasn't due to lack of trying. Everyone was friendly and polite. All in all I can't stop smiling about our stay. We decided this would be a great mini vacation every year. See you next year!!

Ate at Freighters restaurant for dinner with my girlfriend on New Years night and breakfast on Monday January 2 for breakfast. Excellent service friendly staff great food! Freighter watching was fantastic too! We saw 4 freighters one thousand footer Walter J. Mcarthur

Be nice to have pop and food vending machines available to purchase on the premise like Potato chips candy bars pop hot chocolate afterwards when restaurant is closed.

Always enjoy this place. Always clean and always a nice stay.

Hoped to get a e- upgrade and was told I had, but when I got to the room, it was the same room I had reserved with a not so great view. The young lady that checked us in said we had two bottles of water in the fridge like that was the upgrade. Little disappointed but have otherwise always enjoyed it here

Our booking did not go through, but the front desk person was great and found us a room. Unfortunately it cost more than we were planning to pay when booking through this site. They did give us a balcony room which was nice.

Location was good. Plenty of parking. Close walk to water. On-site restaurant was delicious- bit pricy. Room was pretty sound proof. There was a prom event one night and a truck rally one morning. Didn’t hear prom at all upstairs and they were having a very loud fun time. You could only hear horns ever so slightly.

I asked for a view of the water- if I stood outside and in the far corner I could see it. Next time I’ll be more specific. The chair in the room needed a good cleaning.

Room was clean and staff friendly

Asked for clean towels and the staff left them but did not remove the old wet ones, or dispose of trash. Complained and the did remove trash but left wet towels in shower.

Loved the location, and the beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed the pool but there wasn't enough chairs and tables around the pool to put our towels and to lounge around. Otherwise we really enjoyed ourselves.

The room was excellent & the view was breathtaking! The cookies!!! The community around was great & everything we needed was close. We We are thinking about booking again in a couple of weeks.

The fact I had to leave!
