Grandstay Apple Valley

Breakfast was a plus and had good variety and consistent being brought out as items were finishing. Great location! I loved that restaurants, grocery stores and attractions were close by. We were there for soccer tournaments so not too far from fields. Very quiet stay. Upon arriving at front desk (Dominic) was helpful and polite to guests arriving and needing assistance. At checkout, the lady was also patient and helpful during the rush of guests checking out.

Only downfall was there wasn’t change available for vending machines and to do laundry. Also there was only one ice machine on main floor. When we arrived in room, it wasn’t a big deal as there was a fridge with ice maker in room, a big plus!

The property is in a great location, staff was friendly and helpful. Price of the room was affordable. Pool was warm and comfortable to swim in. Breakfast had a great variety and stayed well stocked throughout breakfast hours. Water pressure in the shower was great. Room amenities were more than necessary (dishes/dishwasher, full fridge/freezer). Loved the black out curtain options.

You could not control the room temperature. Extra blankets for pull out were unavailable. There was no place to hang wet clothes/towels. Ice machine was only on first floor (4 floors total).

The hotel was in a nice location. It was quiet and the room was nice and clean. It was larger than I expected. We had a whirlpool suite. It had two sitting areas and 3 tv’s. We grabbed breakfast one morning. They had a nice selection with eggs, sausage, waffles you could make. Yogurt, fruit, applesauce and cereal. I would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

The only bad thing was they didn’t have sheets and a blanket for the pullout couch in the room. I had to go get them at the desk. Which wasn’t a huge deal.

We loved our outdated but cozy room with a separate bedroom. One of us is up late at night, the other gets up early morning. Full kitchen including dishes and cookware would be helpful to some if needed. Renovations were happening at the time. Nice breakfast choices! Great rate compared to others!

I think due to hard water and no rinse aid the clean (per a sign on the counter) dishes left in the dishwasher were cloudy and were coated with powdered detergent - unfit or maybe unhealthy to use? We didn’t use them, but I washed them by hand for the next guest.

The rooms were spacious, and efficient. The staff was wonderful. The place was clean. The location was great. Breakfast was a standard breakfast. Hotel was quiet and family priced.

The shower was a hand held spray attached to the wall, the cheapest of cheap, think 90s sprayer you atta he'd to your sink. The remodeling was still ongoing but not noisy just lots of boxes and furniture in the halls.

I was very impressed with the size of the room, the cleanliness, and the staff was very friendly. I especially like the updated vinyl flooring rather than carpeting.

The breakfast was fair, very similar to almost all other hotels. The restaurant was very good but I wish it was open later, especially on a weekend.

The hotel was clean, convenient to many stores and restaurants and over all great area.

The first night we checked in was great friendly staff very helpful. The next day and day we checked out it was horrible front desk was rude, asked a simple question and got an attitude from the front desk lady and I'm guessing the maintenance guy. Made me feel like I was being an inconvience to them asking a question. As a former hotel maintenance supervisor at a gaming facility I know how stressful it gets but you have to put on your customer service face and treat the guests with respect. The facility itself was great and housekeeping was helpful and got us what we asked. I maybe back in the future but staff need some customer service and some stress coping skills.

I liked pretty much everything . The pool water was wonderful and the hot tub.

I didn't like that there was NO hot breakfast for the 2 days we were there. One of the staff lady's told us the 2nd day was going to be hot breakfast , but wasn't. I had a queen suite room which had a stove but, there was no pots or pans to cook. The wine bottle opener was broke as well. I asked staff for help to find one that worked. After 3, still couldn't find one that worked. But he was able to pop the too!. 😏

I like that the room was quite spacious and clean. The room smelled nice and I really enjoyed taking baths in the jetted tub. The location was amazing, just a few minutes drive away from food and stores.

Due to COVID, the breakfast was in the reception and only the receptionist has access to the breakfast bar, so I had to tell her what I wanted, a bit inconvenient. The selection was also just minimal. Would like to have more choices for breakfast. The hotel itself was getting quite old to a point that I think a renovation should be done ASAP.

We have stayed here many times but this time our room had no black out curtains. Very hard to sleep when the room is just a bright as if all the lights are on. This was also the first time we had a small corner room that only had a very small table in the kitchenette. Barely big enough for the lamp and phone that was already on it.
