Interactions with Dawn Leckenby were enjoyable, interesting and helped so much, to make the our stay very enjoyable. Dawn, who cleans the room did an excellent job and we were very impressed by the cleanliness and room design, especially with the knotty pine.

Nothing. Regarding the size of the room, it was good for us, we did not need to use the second bed, so perhaps if there was only one bed that would work for us. It did have everything we needed: table to eat inside, on the deck, TV, area to cook and bathroom, etc

Being right next to the Great Lake Superior was already a treat. Beautiful scenery and nature activities close by. If you brave Minnesotas winter's. Than there is every winter sport within a 20 minute drive. Snowmobiling, skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoes, anything winter they probably have up there. In the summer there is surfing within the 10 mile radiaus. So a place for all who wnjoy nature.

Loved the “old cabin” experience—warm and charming

The water pressure was poor. The toilet plugged up at 5 am and I had to use the plunger several times to get it to flush—and there was very little in it, just a small bit of toilet paper. When I plunged, the kitchen sink gurgled.

There was no breakfast. The room was cozy and cabin feel. If you are looking for glam, Surfside and the Blue Fin Bay resorts is a better choice. If looking for cozy place to stay while enjoying the north shore, then Solbakken is perfect.

It would not have been easy a cook a meal with just two burners and no oven. But there was a little refrigerator to have milk for cereal.

Loved the deck and seating. I could set outside with a view of the lake, read my book and relax. The room was clean. I didn't even mind taking dirty towels back to get clean towels. The staff was pleasant and willing to help. I actually liked the jugs off water due to well water in the faucet since we could have cold water in the frig all the time. Loved the kitchen in the room. This saved money, time and provided safety from possible covid contact. Restaurants and grocery stores are not very close.

I did not like bed. It had a large lump in the middle that I had to roll up and over. I also did not care for taking the trash to the dumpster. I would gather it willingly but I wished they would take it to the dumpster. The power went out one night due to a storm that rolled in. No one answered the after hours number that I was given at chech in.

Location was excellent for a home base. The grounds were very nice and lake views from everywhere. Our room was very clean and had a nice deck with a lakeview. The value is amazing.

The walls are very thin in the Motel. You can hear your neighbors very clearly.

Location is great. Easy to find. Right on the lake, so very picturesque. Room was spacious. Equipped with a small kitchenette. Lobby provides free coffee. Has a back porch to sit outside and enjoy breakfast or anything else.

Kitchen, microwave, location - view from #10 … our gracious warm greeting and check-in, a comfortable bed, shower ease, TV channels plus Beautiful glassware!

The soap was like plastic to use. Find one that can lather- please?

It was nice and clean. It had a breath taking view. It had everything we needed and more.

No wifi in the room. It was okay though, it just allowed us to disconnect more… just difficult to plan the next days excursion.

Nice cozy lodge. Games and books available. Staff were happy and willing to help with whatever you needed. Like being next to Lake Superior.

There wasn’t a bar/restaurant within walking distance (no fault of the resort).
