La Quinta by Wyndham Horn Lake / Southaven Area

My bathroom was not completely clean-- there was some wear and tear that showed around in the bathroom and the shower bars/curtains - they looked like the old style. I tried to get a receipt at the counter at check out -- but I booked with Booking.com-- I could care less who I book with-- a customer should be able to get a receipt at the counter and change credit cards at the counter if that is what is needed. It turned out that was not needed but that is frustrating. I don't want to call some 800 number and wait on hold or have to re-directed for that purpose while I am standing there at the damn counter-- why would I want to go through the internet to do that?

I loved everything about the property. I really loved being on the first floor.

I didn’t dislike anything about the property. I didn’t like hair, lots of hair in the tub, on the toilet and in bed. That part was disgusting.

Room was roomy and very clean. Had a nice view.

I really can't say anything bad.

Location for our trip. Price was ok. Front desk person was all business and not real personable.

Breakfast was sparse. I asked for ketchup as I like it on scrambled eggs and was told by the attendant they didn't have any - come on - a couple of packets of ketchup. I got the feeling the attendant didn't want to go to the back and look as she was sitting nearly all the time we we were there and seemed very busy on her phone. Our room was ok but carpeting worn and it could use some new pillows - they had an odor.

The hotel is beautiful and very well kept. I really appreciated that I was able to have my dog with me at a reasonable cost. The "Grab & Go" breakfast was really pretty good as well as the free coffee. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean.

I was kind of surprised that the room didn't come with a hair dryer which I could have used. I also stayed an additional night and this isn't the hotel's fault but they put a family with two small children next to my room and the children were crying and screaming until very late at night and then again early in the morning (6 a.m.).

It was very clean and great location

The employees were not friendly at all. Customer service class/skills need improvement asap. They were not rude, however I had the feeling they had something better to do. Maybe they need raises??

The front desk woman was able to help me with my reservation that had been canceled inadvertently. She was sensitive to my needs and gave me comfort as I was dealing with a lot of emotions from having just lost my mom.

room was spacious and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The room was too close to the laundry area and washers/dryers could be heard throughout the stay. Limited breakfast menu.

The room didn’t smell fresh nor clean. The toilet had a bad smell. The sofa sleeper mattress was very poor and discolored. Had to reuse the same towels due to towel shortage. King bed made noise(bad mattress).

The breakfast was good. Pancakes were good, bacon and eggs were ok. I loved how clean the hotel was and smelled.

More pillows on the bed and a blanket could had been added in the closet.
