Comfort Suites Starkville

Starts and ends with the staff. My dad and I were on a motorcycle trip from Nashville, TN to Natchez, MS, and ran in to some bad weather and then a flat tire on my bike. Comfort Suites was the only 2 bed hotel room we could find within 40 miles of where we were stuck, at 9:30pm on a Saturday night. Any port in a storm, right? First night was fine, but what really left an impression was the following day. It took me most of the day to get my bike back up and running from the flat tire, and the staff allowed us to stay in the lobby for the air conditioning while we tried to find various things needed to repair the bike on a Sunday when most automotive places are closed. They allowed a late check out, they allowed use of the lobby, they offered water, advice on where to find things. They were excellent. By the time I had my bike back together it was too late and I was too tired to ride the 350 miles home at 5pm at night, so we got another room simply because of how well the staff treated us. I've never been to Starkville Mississippi before this weekend, and I probably won't go back, no offense. But I'll always be grateful for the staff at Comfort Suites.

Not much to complain about. We did "overpay" for the first night compared to the second night, but that's what happens when you need to find a hotel room at 10pm.

Breakfast was good. Location was excellent! Close to MSU and to the restaurants we like. So glad the price was not like it is during football season, so we could afford to stay there. The cleaning staff changed out our dirty towel each day and also took out the trash. That was a pleasant bonus.

The air conditioning was the kind in the window and the room was cool near it and warm away from it. Also, the toilet would stick after the flush if you didn't shake the handle. I try to stay there every time I come to Starkville, but sometimes the price is outrageous.

The staff was amazing, accommodations were good. We would stay at this hotel again. After booking.com failed to send reservations to the hotel, the hotel did find rooms for us. They staff went above and beyond to get booking to fulfil their part without success.

The hotel was great but Booking.com booked rooms, took my money but DID NOT send reservations to the hotel. Cust service was NO help, would not refund my money etc. The hotel staff found us a couple rooms to stay in but I had to pay AGAIN for the rooms. Hotel and myself were on the phone for an hour and a half trying to get it straightened out but to no avail. We will NEVER use booking.com again. My advise is to call the hotel directly and make sure booking actually booked rooms there or better yet, book it yourself so you know it's done correctly.

The front desk staff were amazing. They were very polite and professional. Location was great being right across from MSU. Breakfast had a decent variety, my wife enjoyed the pumpkin spice waffles.

The bathroom could be updated a bit. The window only had sheers that moved and no light blocking curtains and there were bright lights on in the back parking lot and bank next door that we could not block out while sleeping.

the room was a pet friendly room per request and wasn’t bad at all except I don’t believe dusting has been done for quite some time and the bathroom floor was very gross especially under the sink n counter area. The ac unit didn’t work except on heat and it got very warm in the room. That problem was corrected once we reported it

The breakfast was good except some of the equipment was not working and the product was expired I.e. the milk was date July 22nd and several ppl were complaining until someone noticed it. The staff needed to know and check daily because it could have sicken some one or two... Breakfast is most important meal to start the day. Everything else was ok/good. I'll be glad stay 2 more nights and refer.

The breakfast wait so long and everyone waited was not social distancing more of furstated. Along with some of the most needed equipment not working. I know this can be avoided only if it was a more of a concern knowing this starts off the day and everyone is more than happy to go out and come back the same way and that's Happy to be there.

The breakfast was well displayed and met expectations. I don't remember fresh fruit, but there were waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, juice, tea (including herbal,) coffee, etc. With the University across the street, it was convenient and pleasant to take a morning walk there. The desk clerk Katherine couldn't have been nicer!

the first two ladies who checked me in were not friendly and i think did a mistake with blocking my card for the room for 2 nights and not just 1 night , that i originally booked and hope paid for. Katherine was very good and helpful and smart and made sure i check out with 1 night stay only. thank you katherine :)

Staff was excellent from check in to housekeeping. Al friendly and wanted to make sure you had all you needed. Ladores aka Lulu at check in was absolutely fantastic. She really cares about the guest and their stays.

One light on one side of bathroom mirror didn’t work. We spent so little time in the room I didn’t even tell guest service about it

I didn’t like how the TV would not work at first so the manager came up to help at first but then she realized the remote might not be setup to TV. She was said she would have to move us to another room, which we had got comfortable and unpacked, but she found us a remote that work and it was fixed the problem. Other than that, it was a great day.
