The Duff Green Mansion is a unique place. A truly historic hotel in an antebellum mansion, not a historic Disneyworld. The atmosphere of the dining room, grand salon and lounges are sensational. The pool is probably the nicest in town. Breakfast is not the usual buffet stuff but delicious breakfast dishes are served - great. But the most impressive thing after breakfast was the guided tour through the estate, you learn a lot about the history of the house before, during and after the Civil War and about the people who lived here.

The furnishings of our room was a bit outdated, perhaps something could be adapted here without compromising the historic atmosphere.

LOVED the staff, food, and attention given to us!!! Latonya was waiting for us and made sure we had everything we could possibly need when we arrived. We were also pleasantly surprised that there was a guest kitchen for us to use. The next morning, Latonya and Katie made breakfast SO special!!! They even prepared an alternative dairy-free breakfast for my little granddaughter who has dietary allergies!!! They were so personal, caring, and took us in like family!!! Also, the house tour was FABULOUS!!! We learned so much!!! Latonya lovingly shared Duff Green's story with intricate details that not only illustrate her knowledge but also her dedication and passion for her job. Every staff member we spoke with made us feel like honored guests. This was truly a one of a kind experience!!!! We miss them already!!! As Latonya said herself as we were leaving today, "this is not a goodbye, for we hope to see you later." We love this place and all the people who work there! And yes, we shall see you all later! Thank you for blessing us with such meaningful memories on our vacation in which we will cherish forever!

The only thing I would suggest is maybe new mattresses... ours was definitely worn down... BUT I treasure our time there and will definitely visit again!!!

Came across this by chance and so happy we did. Staying in an antebellum home was one of the highlights of our holiday. We had full run of the house, except other guests bedrooms, so we enjoyed pre dinner drinks in the parlour! We were able to walk to one of the nearby restaurants for dinner. There was a guest kitchen on both floors with facilities to use and complimentary water/ soft drinks in the fridge. The included breakfast at the dining table was most enjoyable and we got to chat with the other guests. Then the wonderful Tracy took us on a tour of the house, complete in costume, giving us a rich history of previous owners as well as Vicksburg history.

Absolutely nothing

It's a gorgeous, historic mansion on a quiet street. We relaxed in the pool and lounged in our room. Breakfast was excellent and the staff treated us like family. We love this place!

Only problem we had was the bathroom door in the Duff Suite wouldn't lock or even shut completely. Being a blended family traveling together it made things a little awkward, but we managed.

Loved everything about our stay.. me and my sister stayed for the nite to break up our trip to New orleans. The staff were so so friendly,room was amazing and after a fabulous breakfast which was out of this world sat around chattin to other guests and we got and amazing history tour about the house

Staff was friendly and accomodating! Rooms charming and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Complimentary guest kitchen with coffee, soda, and water much appreciated. Located closely to all tourist attractions in a quiet neighborhood.

We had a truly memorable stay. The property is as comfortable as it is beautiful, and the staff were all exceptionally welcoming. The morning talk about the house’s history was the icing on the cake - thank you.

Mattresses not particularly comfortable compared to average hotel. But room otherwise great!

The breakfast was good, not great. Free parking. Had excellent dinner nearby. Loved the house tour.

Very expensive. At this price point breakfast should be more generous and served with grace.
