Best Western Premier Kansas City Sports Complex Hotel

The night host was AMAZing!! We checked in at 7pm with a lobby full of people and she still made everyone’s check in experience a laughing good time.

Our room 607 was 90 when we got there at 7 and we left for 3 hours and came back and it was only down to 85. I went downstairs and waited in line and expressed my concern politely and before I could tell my boyfriend to get dressed the night host lady had us a new room in 119. Then our bathroom light was flickering like crazy and wouldn’t stop, we found old Taco Bell balled up wrappers behind the window curtains on the floor.

Check-in was a breeze. Bit of a line since everyone was checking in after the Royals baseball game & only one person was running the front desk. She was very efficient and speedy though. Breakfast was hot & fresh with good selection. The makeup mirror in the bathroom made me happy. It’s the little things. Haha Price was a little high but we felt if you factor in the cost it saves you on breakfast and parking at the stadium it’s worth it.

Got to room & it was hot due to thermostat batteries flashing low so had to go to front desk to get batteries. Problem solved after that. Our fridge was full of thawed water & even after cleaned up & adjusted never worked the duration of our stay.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Years ago I was an assistant manager of house keeping for another hotel chain. Therefore I expect a clean room and facility. This hotel met all my standards. The room was cleaned and stocked perfectly. The inside of the facility was clean everywhere. The outside needs a little TLC, but it is winter and I am sure the staff will work on that this spring. Otherwise, the location and facility was perfect.

Unfortunately the pool is closed for repairs and remodel. It would have been best if their website and booking.com was updated to show no pool. I could have stayed somewhere else for $30 a night less but didn't for the pool. Also, the night clerks should control the noise better. Our room was 30 feet from the front desk and Saturday night we had people screaming from the lobby down the hall until 1:30 am Sunday. Some group rented the conference rooms for a party and the noise got out of hand. These are unique issues and shouldn't sway your opinion of staying there

We love staying at the Best Western Premier KC sports complex hotel everytime we go to the KC Chiefs games because the hotel is only .05 miles to Arrowhead or the Royals stadiums! You can walk to the games and you are in and out back to your room at the hotel watching for an hour all the folks trying to leave the parking lots. The hotel staff, everyone from the lady trying to keep up mopping the floors (from the snow), the ladies and gentlemen behind the desk, oh my..and the resturant chef and staff (AWESOME food/atmosphere/service) to my favorite lady in the morning at breakfast time, she showed my the ropes on the waffle iron (make sure you spray it first, but I got lucky and it didn't stick)! Before I went to the game, I made sure to go by the dining room to show her my outfit I made to wear for the POLAR VORTEX I was about to experience! I also left a christmas surprise for the cleaning staff when we vacated our room. I left a trail of money through-out the room, I hope they found it all, merry christmas ladies!!!!

pool was closed for “construction” my 7yr old son was really looking forward to using it from seeing the pictures I showed him online when booking then get to check in at the front desk and seen the sign saying pool is closed for “construction” after taking my son to show him it was closed we went down there and there is no sign of construction pool is still full of water..🤔

Clean, same floor as gym, pool and laundry. Great well stocked breakfast buffet.as well as clean. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff I would rate the buffet a 10.

No TV or internet service. Although the staff did offer to move us to another room. We decided not to since we were only in the room for a minimal time. The bed could use several sizes of pillows. Like fat ones ( soft and firmmer) and thinner ones so that they accommodate a guests support needs.

The staff was phenomenal. Very welcoming and helpful. The location was why we chose this hotel since we were going to the Kansas City Chiefs game. Very east to get to and from the game.

The facility was a little older and our room door had a patched hole in it and some of the wallpaper was peeling off but in general the room was okay.

Property was clean, average, not a 5 star hotel but the employees made the stay exceptional.

I understand raising prices because of an event, but going from $89/ a night the previous weekend to $568/ a night because there was a concert…. Someone should be ashamed, but then again I paid the rate do shame on me as well. No where near a $568 a night hotel.

Front desk exceptionally friendly. Allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was excellent! Close to everything. Beds were very comfortable...I have bad insomnia and thats the best night sleep i had in awhile😊 I would highly recommend to my friends and family!

Honestly I cant think of anything. This isnt even a big deal....the only thing I didnt like was the room door was heavy and lock was a little loose. Everything else was perfect!

The hotel was a weird mix of well renovated and run down. The bathroom, bed and blinds looked like they belonged in a resort hotel. The bed was comfortable, and everything was well cleaned. The breakfast that morning was also fantastic. A large selection that beat most of the continental breakfasts I've had before.

On the other hand, the doors to our rooms, for example, were easily 40 years old, or at least looked like it. The window frame needed some work where paint had split and was peeling up near the ceiling. Overall it looked like the room was superficially brought up to 5-star standards without addressing anything below the surface. Like someone trying to flip a house on the cheap.
