I enjoyed the stay. • The price was decent. • Breakfast was better than average: coffee, egg soufflé (with powdered egg and meat) pancake machine, etc. One day they served omelettes, which might have been made with real egg. • I also liked the location. I was checking out Missouri State University, and it was a perfectly walkable distance. • They have a fully equipped pool table that even had a cue stick bridge. No one else was using it in the lounge, and I loved practicing. • For kids, they have giant jenga blocks and lots of board games. • The study area was convenient. • There was also a small gym.

Dislikes: • We stayed two nights, and I don't think there was room service. • There is a $25 deposit/per night that we had to pay up front in addition to the total cost. But the hotel will give you the money back on your card at the end of your stay. • The bed was hard and difficult to sleep in. • The room smelled a little weird when we entered, and we spent a lot of the time airing it out.

We were attending a concert nearby. The hotel was within an easy walk. The hotel is very easy to get in and out of, accommodations were as expected. Everything looked new. The ladies at the front desk were funny and very helpful.

The only negative I can think of had nothing to do with the actual hotel. I used the contactless check in on their app, and also used the digital key - and LOVED both. But it would only allow us to use the digital key on one device. It would have been great for my husband to have had that available also.

The breakfast was good. The location is great! It is practically on the Missouri State campus. The place is always clean and comfortable. This is our go-to hotel when visiting our daughter at Missouri State.

The breakfast should run a little longer, especially on the weekends. I suspect a very large percentage of guests at this hotel are there for visits to Missouri State and most probably don't need to get up like normal business travelers.

Good breakfast and cool main lobby. Huge shower was awesome.

My wife didn’t think the rooms were very comfortable feeling, she wasn’t a fan of the modern look of the room.

The room was very clean. I appreciated the provision of soap and body wash etc. I really liked that there was no carpeting. It certainly seemed cleaner that way.

The walls were very thin and I had to wear ear plugs to get to sleep.

I arrived earlier than I expected and the check in process was very easy and accommodable. The front desk ( I am so sorry for forgetting your name) woman was very nice and friendly. Asked about my travels and helped me feel comfortable being by myself. Thank you so kindly. Arriving to my room and seeing Welcome Miranda was so cute and felt welcomed. I felt safe leaving my car out there and felt safe overall being at this location.

Excellent location for quick drive to MSU. Loved the decor and cleanliness. Staff was very helpful when we needed something printed.

Could not believe how clean and nice (looked new) this room was, impressed. I have not heard of Tru before but will be on the look out for more in future travel. Thanks for the hard work and hang on to that cleaning staff.

Location and breakfast Friendly staff

Wall are too thin. Could hear people next door talking and yelling to their kids until 2am. Then tv on at 4am felt like it was in my room. It was a room with connecting door so im not sure if the other ones are as bad. Wish it had at least 1 drawer or closed closet because it felt crowded

We liked the vinyl flooring as my spouse is quite allergic to the dust and chemicals that accumulates in many carpets. We were pleased that we saw no pets during our visit.
