EVERYTHING!!!! So Tucumcari is probably one of our very favorite places to visit. We have stayed at a few places in this areaost have been great and only two have been bad. This was one of the GREAT ones. Talk about clean, comfy, and accommodating! Breakfast is great, options for waffles, pancakes, great selection of cereal, breads, boiled eggs etc. Juice was so-so my daughter said but I drank the coffee and it was amazing. The juice might have been a little watered down but that's not even a worry to us. Everything else was amazing. The staff here goes above and beyond in every sense. Davon was amazing and has the kindest disposition. He is the one we interacted with the most. There were several others there and one gentleman who went out of his way to help us with our booking. If you stay here they will give you post cards to send out to loved ones and when you bring them back to the counter they even pay the postage. If you go downstairs to the ice machine you have to stop and see the door. It's bigger on the inside. If you get that then you're a whovian, and you will love this place for sure. Safe area! We have stayed twice and plan to stay again.

I loved your breakfast! We remarked how our stay at desert inn was the least expensive on our entire trip but had the best breakfast. We loved the waffles! Darius was very friendly and really hustled to keep things full at the breakfast bar. While we did not get to use the pool it looked very nice and clean!

I'm not sure a wet room is the best option for a handicapped person. The floor was very slick and very wet afterward. The exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a motorcycle. It should probably be checked. Also the side entrance door is broken and does not lock.

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Evening clerk was a perfect employee who was very kind and helpful. Rooms were clean, AC worked good, plenty of towels, also they provied soap and shampoo, bedding was also neat and clean, Indoor pool area was clean with plenty of towels, hot tub was warm and working. The refreshment area was clean with coffee, tea and jucies 24/7. Vending machines, ice machine, and laundry was in one room it was very clean. Wifi was okay The value , convenice of finding along with it being very clean for an older hotel is worth the stay. I would stay again and recommend it. It's not fancy but mostly comfortable and very clean which is a must for me.

Just nitpicky things I didn't care for nothing that would stop me from staying again on my way back home. Free breakfeast wasn't much to brag about, walffel machine didn't work good, other choice was bagels and some fruit. Pool was advertized as heated and it was not in fact it was extremly cold couldn't swim in it. Beds could be updated as they aren't very comfortable but I have seen worse. I slept okay on them just don't expect to fall into a soft welcoming bed. Was not impressed with the wiring in the room for the ice box. Morning clerk could take some pointers from evening clerk. The loaction was a very busy and tight area.

I enjoyed it. I needed a "budget-type" hotel stay, just a safe comfy spot to rest at the end of a day of driving. This was a positive experience. The staff were awesome - the young man who was on shift when I checked it - was very very professional, welcoming, friendly, with outstanding customer service.

My only issue or heads-up, if you will, would be that the queen bed in my room (#103) has a mattress that has 2 very worn spots with definited divets of all the bodies who have used it in the past. It could definitely benefit from a new mattress.

Location is very convenient for anyone driving on I-40. There are several fast-food options within walking distance of the hotel. There was an unpretentious Mexican restaurant La Cita that was about a mile from the hotel that served excellent food and was extremely reasonable. Room was clean.

The room was smaller than many other hotels I've stayed in. It would have been a tight fit for two people with two bags. The TV remote was quirky and fussy. Perhaps it may have needed new batteries.

The rooms are updated and very clean. My husband really enjoyed the shower it had a lot of water pressure. The beds were firm and very comfortable. The parking lot was well lit and safe. We had very noisy neighbors and the front desk moved us upon request no problems. The breakfast had cereal, boiled eggs, pancakes and waffles. Also assorted pastries and bagels. Coffee was hot and good. Josh had it all set up and ready at 6 am with a smile and a warm good morning greeting. Josh made our morning extra special. I would stay here over and over again! I am pretty picky about cleanliness and this place was perfect! The price was also very reasonable. We hit the hotel lottery with this one.

The gentleman at the desk was very nice and helpful. Lobby and breakfast area was clean and well maintained, as was the room. Bed was comfortable and we had a nice view of the area. Super cute town and convenient to several places to eat, get gas, etc.. We also could see our vehicle from the window which was nice. Great stay - felt safe and comfortable. Felt like the price was excellent for the stay. Very convenient to the freeway and town.

The room looked to be updated (furniture, carpets, bathroom, etc.) but the lights over the bed where odd and looked to be the ONLY thing in the room that might be old? Didn't matter - the stay was very nice and we like the room. Bed was comfortable and everything felt clean.

I really like the location of this property. Very close to the I-40, gas and a McDonald’s (mostly for the coffee in the morning). The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the TV worked well. They also have a bench in front of the window in the room I stayed in - great for putting your stuff without loading up the table. (I stayed here twice in three weeks and both rooms had this bench). I don’t usually eat any breakfast in hotels that offer it. I did have the coffee.

They do not have an elevator for the second floor. The first time I stayed here, I booked a room on the 2nd floor, and it was fine, but unloading and loading the car was tiring for sure. The second time I paid the higher price for a 1st floor room - it was worth the added expense. However, there was a load screeching sound every hour or so from the water pipes in my room. I should have asked for a different room, but I didn’t - that is on me.

Location is fine and the cost was reasonable.

They tell you when you check in that coffee is available 24 hours a day. However at 5:40 am when I went down to get a cup of coffee the air pot was just about empty and the coffee in was just warm. The butter is stored in the fridge and to hard to spread on toast. Butter doesn't spoil very easy and it should be taken out of the fridge to soften the night before. No tongs were available to take any of the foods. I guess I have never stayed in motel where the room was really clean and in perfect repair.

Very nice pool and hot tub available after long day of driving. Breakfast was super.

Our room was on the front of the building facing the main parking lot. The outdoor lighting was extremely bright so that excessive light made its way into the room. The window curtains were not sufficient to block it out.
