Garden City Hotel

You can take the long island railroad with luggage and walk to the hotel it is that close and it's a lovely walk across the street. They have absolutely everything you could want or need at the hotel and it is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely book your spa appointments ahead of time that is no pop in service :-). Anthony, Luis, Jillian, Connie SO SO good at what they do, thank you! There are so many little outdoor spaces, the patio bar is a little garden bar with live music & cocktails, there are Adirondack chairs and picnic tables in the grass all by themselves. Dinner at the King Bar was sublime and I didn't get to experience the Speakeasy Whiskey Bar but if you go in the winter I would say go, it sounds like so much fun!

This is such a minor odd thing but the shower is narrow, I'm not huge and I bumped my elbow on the shampoo bottles, my butt or hip on the soap dish/ grab rail and the shower curtain won't stay open, it keeps sliding to the center of the rail. There is zero sound proofing on the door leading to the hallway so if you have a noisy neighbor and you are a light sleeper you will hear it!

It was clean, well kept, staff is attentive, and it’s very close to the Long Island RR train station for a trip to New York City.

We had booked with them two months in advance. At the time of booking, the policy did say it was nonrefundable. Despite my asking several different times for consideration of our extenuating circumstances, they did not change their mind. Be aware that you probably won’t be able to either if the same situation arises.

I love the Garden City and stay there almost every year . Perfect location. Always immaculate . Staff is always very pleasant .

We stayed in rooms 323 and 325 Room 323 right by elevator people came off of it all night long up until 4 am very loud . Next time I will request Not to be near the elevator . (I should ha e known better lol) the mini fridge made sounds all night long like it was dripping I checked it and there was not any water. Someone should check just in case

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was wonderful, it’s a great location across the street from a long island railroad train station. very quiet and nice area.

They charge a $200 deposit at check in which is not included in the total cost on booking.com so it was an unexpected.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean and cozy. The location was perfectly central as well for us and parking was easy and including in the cost of the room.

The staff was very nice but it didn’t seem like there were many people working. Also, although the hotel seemed quite empty (middle of January), they did not offer to upgrade us for free when asked. We definitely would have appreciated a room with a bath.

The location was perfect for visiting Long Island. The hotel was so clean and the staff so friendly. A truly wonderful hotel and a real treat. The Patio Bar was in particular a lovely place to have a drink.

great customer service, friendly, didn't feel stuffy. Wait staff at Kings was very friendly and food was good.

Breakfast buffet was MORE expensive than dinner. $34.00 per person is highway robbery. There was no signage nor did front desk indicated $ when asked about food options for breakfast. We were told no in room dinning only Kings. That price is just ridiculous!

Beautiful property with a great location. We were there to drop my daughter off at Adelphi and it was so close and walking distance to Garden City village and the train station to NYC

very nice location close to everything I needed

The hotel needs an upgrade since it is outdated. The heater was broken and the noise was unbearable so we slept with no heating. Also there are tiny old style blankets which are not warm enough, not guilts at all.

Very comfortable bedding. Large room size. Wonder, fried staff.

Showe doors were hard to slide open and closed. Ran out of tissues and they were never replaced. Bar closed too early for a Saturday night. Rose room seemed really cool but it took so long to get drinks that we canceled our order and left.
