Holiday Inn Express & Suites Malone, an IHG Hotel

A hotel guest became angry at the morning breakfast. She complained because the eggs were not to her liking. The food staff tried to handle this, the kitchen staff created another pan of eggs, and the hotel guest still was not satisfied and became angrier. This made everyone who could hear this in the lobby and breakfast room uncomfortable. The guest was being loud and unreasonable, and was causing quite a fuss. I do not think the hotel staff was at fault. But perhaps there could be some procedures in place to handle this, a routine for both the front desk and kitchen to follow.

This is a fairly new property and is very clean and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and they provided lots of pillows. There is a microwave, refrigerator, television, radio, luggage rack, Keurig coffee maker and telephone in the room. The room has plenty of lighting, a nice eating table and two stuffed chairs for sitting, and curtains that can block out the light when closed. They have a nice dining area in the lobby and a great indoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast was exceptional: Bacon, Eggs, Link Sausages, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Pancakes, Fresh Juice, Yogurt, great Coffee, etc. The staff is exceptionally friendly and pets are allowed at no extra charge. Highly recommend this hotel.

The price was higher than the competing lodging in the area. We chose it because of the indoor pool and pet friendly allowances.

We had an amazing stay. Staff was wonderful. Elevator wasn’t working but staff went out of their way to make our stay great even giving us some off the price of our room. Breakfast options were the best I’ve seen during COVID. There was sausage egg and cheese biscuits we could warm up with bagels, cereal, pastries, juices and coffee etc. We were able to get our own Togo stuff and Togo bags were provided. Even though hot breakfast options couldn’t be served there was still options for having hot food which I thought was a plus. Breakfast was excellent. Staff person Amanda was super accommodating after our reservation had to be cancelled and we were put on a waiting list due to the property being over booked. She called us immediately after finding out she had a cancellation and got us a room. Great customer service

absolutely love everything about this hotel. we live about 40 miles away and go there often just to relax and use the pool/jacuzzi and get a good night sleep

The room was very nice and comfortable. It had a cozy feel and it was a quiet hotel. I think it was best choice especially considering the other options. I stayed in another hotel the last time I visited the area and my stay was not as comfortable and I didn't have a restful night sleep. I would definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay and did not have any issues.

We didn’t have long to eat but my kids enjoyed the pancakes and the cereal. They had a lot of choices.
