Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Morehead City, an IHG Hotel

very helpful staff. perfect location for our needs. Amazing breakfast

Was advised that dogs were allowed only on the first floor and prior to my arrival the hotel had acknowledged my allergies and asthma and told us that we would be placed in a room far away from any dogs. there was a dog staying right across from our room and another one at the end of the hallway. we were told that there was some sort of mixup and they did not know that there was a dog on our floor. Bathroom had two ticks. Hotel Ted offered to move us to another room however once we removed the text we did not see anything further and it would be too much of an inconvenience to repack everything for six days and move to another room on day three.

Check in staff and kitchen staff were friendly and the lady at the desk helped me with my room key. I thought the omelets for breakfast was good! The location was great for me as well, places like Walmart, dollar tree, and restaurants are very close by and the gas station across the street.

I didn't like the link sausages for breakfast. I think they could have been cooked a little longer. But I've seen this at a few hotels as well, they seem to cook it light brown and grey. I had the patty sausage which was good.

The cleanliness of the inside and room.

i appreciate all places that allow pets. We have 2 chihuahuas that travel with us. We always clean up behind our pets on their walks outside. Unfortunately other pet owners were not cleaning up behind theirs. I would always make it clear to pet owners that the Holiday Inn Express is happy to serve pet owners but they expect the owners to clean up behind their pets. There was no trash can in the pet area. I believe adding one might help.

Location was convenient. The bed was comfortable. We slept good.

Our room was suppose to be a Suite, that's what we paid for. The lights appeared to be LED, a softer inviting light would have been very pleasant and relaxing. The room could have been cleaner! Behind the opening door appeared to be vomit down the wall or something. There were very visible stain spots on the carpet. This was a pet friendly room, so was it poop?! The shower floor could use comet cleanser and the shower walls and glass doors had water spots. There was only one exit entrance that we were aware of. There were cigarette butts all over the place outside. The pictures on the internet of this hotel are very deceiving!

The breakfast bar is excellent with such a nice variety of food options.

I needed to do a load of laundry and the washing machine was not working so I had to locate a Laundry Matt out in town. The Laundry room is large enough to hold more than one washer & dryer, so my recommendation is to install a 2nd set so that if one is not working, there can be another washer/dryer available.

It was very clean, the breakfast was good and we ate every day of our stay, very friendly staff, I was able to do laundry and they cleaned our rooms daily at no extra charge. Beds were comfortable and room was large for our family of 4. My kids enjoyed the pool as well.

The property was great. I thought it was closer to the beach but that’s user error, I would stay here again anyways.

The bed. So comfortable. Close to beach (10 min drive), but also away from the hustle and bustle of a beach town.

Forgot to grab sodas for the evening, and bought one from the counter. WOW! Price of a soda was $3.00 for a 20oz. And the hallway tile near elevator was not cleaned in the three days we stayed. You could see the dried rings from something wet was laid on the tile area. And the ac in the room was very noisy. But we was there for the beach, not a five star hotel.

We were in Morehead City for funeral services for a young family member and not having to worry about anything with the hotel was great. The room, breakfast, cleanliness and staff was all great. We will definitely be staying there again when we visit the area. Several (10)members of the family stayed here in four different rooms and we all had the same experience. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel and room, clean pool, delicious breakfast and excellent staff…..

Housekeeping does not exchange towels unless you place them outside the door to room. We were not informed of this inconvenience. Called front desk and friendly staff at desk delivered linens needed with a smile….

The room was very spacious & comfortable. The staff was very accommodating when we couldn't figure out the air conditioning. The breakfast buffet was wonderful & offered a very good variety of choices.

We got billed for two nights when we only stayed one. Even after Elizabeth, the front desk staff member assured us that she had corrected this, our account still shows it was billed twice. Now we have to spend more time to try to get the 2nd charge removed.
