I loved our room had a balcony

I didn’t like that booking advertised pay at the property and they charged me before I got there. when I called to inquire about this- I was met with a rude employee. they also advertised a private beach access which was not private- it was public

The room was a corner room and although it set back a bit the view of the ocean was spectacular. It did make for a bit of a walk to the beach but not too bad. It was nice having the pool overlooking the ocean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

No breakfast at all was available. I am glad I got a corner room in the smaller building I was in because other so called ocean view rooms only looked at the roof of the othe building. We wanted to stay a couple extra nights but wanted to know what room we would get and they couldn’t tell us unless we booked first, our room wasn’t available and we would have had to change rooms and didn’t want ground level, but they couldn’t offer us a specific room, again unless we booked first. So we moved to another hotel.

The staff was excellent. They went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The location is the best, only steps from the beach, yet only a block from great dining and groceries! Our room was great. It was very clean with plenty of space.

Honestly, there's not much at all to complain about. The room had a very short broom to help sweep up sand. But unless you're a midget it murdered your back to use it. They could also use more than one shower for people coming off the beach. The price was a tad steep, but for all the convenience, I would probably pay it again.

A free breakfast was not offered everything they had to offer in the way of food or drinks (aside from coffee, tea, and hot chocolate) had to be paid for (prices were just above reasonable) not the greatest selection but you eventually settle for what is available, after 7:30/8:00pm they can't accept cash, you can only pay for your selected items with card or charged to your room which was pretty inconvenient but not a deal breaker.

Chairs outside of the rooms would have made the stay so much better.

The staff went out of their way to set up a bday banner and had beautiful cupcakes waiting for my son for my sons bday! this was the reason for our trip to the islander.The rooms were clean and comfortable! The views of the room were spectacular !!! we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR MAKI G MY SONS DAY SUPER SPECIAL! KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY , ty ty ty ❤️❤️

tv wasn’t working but they gave a great discount due to this! and honestly no tv was a blessing in disguise as we were not distracted by it and had amazing family time

The staff was great they accommodated us one evening to do dinner in one of their conference rooms in our friends group because it was pouring outside. They also put the football game in the lobby and we were able to hang out in a group into a bigger space. It was great very clean close to everything. They recommended some great pizza places and restaurant that was across the street from the hotel we were able to walk great slushy bar across the street.

There wasn’t a whole lot that I didn’t like. Other than the pillows could’ve been a little more fluffier or Fuller but other than that everything was wonderful

The room was not only very clean but spacious and comfortable. They had everything that was needed for my stay. The location was perfect! While there, I went the whole length of the island and decided this was the best spot on the island. Shops and eating places were nearby. The beach was spectacular!!!! So easy to get on the beach, there was plenty of room for everyone without being crowded. The sunsets and surf were amazing! It was a perfect mini-vacation!!!

The only thing I would add is maybe a hotplate of some sort so I could have heated up some hot chocolate. I do not use microwave ovens because of the health hazzards.

Location, size of the rooms, covered balcony all around that was super! Staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful and cannot speak more highly of the hard work that I witnessed that cleaning crew do each day and they were friendly and helpful.

Even with the AC on, you could feel heat radiating from the ceiling down. So, if you were the farthest bed from the AC unit, it was quite hot each night.

This hotel is located right on the ocean, with beach access. There were only a few rooms with a view of the water, but ours wasn’t one of them. The room was clean & adequate.

Room could use some updating. The bathroom was tiny, with just enough room for the toilet & tub. The biggest issue is that the listing says a credit card is required to hold the room with payment at checkin. Because that’s the way it was listed, I gave the hotel my debit card, which is what I had available at booking. They took the entire room charge, before we even arrived, out of my checking account. When I called to complain, they reversed the charge, but the bank still hasn’t given my $200 back to me.

The room was spacious and the staff was quick to address TV and air issues which were resolved. The bed was very comfortable. The beautiful, clean beach was one minute away from our room! We could see the ocean from our room but not the sand.

The small adequate frig sat on the floor and was difficult to get down too. It would help to be on a table. Our renovated room needed a few things like more hooks in and around bath. The air conditioning was a little noisy and inadequate to cool the back of the room. An ice maker would be nice on the 2nd floor. The stairwells needed safety strips to index where the edge of the steps are.
