Great location. Right by Southport area and a 15 min drive to Oak Island. The staff was very accommodating and helpful with any questions or need for additional towels. The room had a nice layout and the A/c unit was overall pretty quiet. The breakfast was simple but had just enough to satisfy all our picky eaters.

We had 2 rooms. Both were tidy could have been a little cleaner (dusty corners, grimy microwave). One room smelled fine. The other room had a urine/mildew odor coming from the bathroom. The tub in that same room was very slow to drain also (may have been the reason).

The hotel is tucked away from the Main Street so it is quiet with minimal traffic. The rooms were extremely clean. The pool was a nice bonus too. Free breakfast was appreciated.

No house keeping services were offered unless you stayed five days and then you had to request it. Understandably, they were short-staffed and I could have requested additional towels/trash pick up. I really didn’t need it for myself-I’m pretty flexible. But that’s the only thing I can think of that was “negative.”

Comfortable bed

There was not a bedroom TV. While there bedroom is open to the living room, the TV in the living room was too small to make it uncomfortable to lie in bed and watch or listen to the TV. Small thing but we watch TV in bed before going to sleep. Otherwise good stay and the king suite was a very good size.

Breakfast was good

The location could have been better and the staff could pay more attention to the front desk they kept leaving to go wherever they were going guests were waiting long periods leaving and when calls came in they were missed till the desk attendent decided to return staff should remain at post unless performing different work rather then personal calls.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in the lobby was how clean it smelt and how beautiful it was inside We felt safe everything was very clean there was constantly workers vaccumn the halls and wiping down things it smelt heavenly

The beds were super hard but other than that this hotel was top notch we will def be back

Breakfast looked great. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

I didn't like that there was a stale smell in the room when I arrived..my bathroom had been used by the looks of it. It looked like maybe someone had the room occupied for a short time and was never looked at after. My daughter came to visit me during my short stay and of course I was not aware of the pool being closed, Untill we got dressed in suits and walked to the pool to see it was shut down due to coronavirus...

Great price. Good room layout. Great location for access to downtown Southport.

Several light bulbs were burned out. Ice machine only on the first floor, and had a constant beeping - was told it might need service, or a filter replaced. Bottom of bathroom door was broken. Elevator was like a sauna.

Comfortable, spacious, and clean rooms; great breakfast and coffee; excellent location—and amazing staff! Thank you so much, Tammy and Crystal, for your friendliness, professionalism, and helpfulness. You both went above and beyond! I will definitely be staying here again!

Stayed at Southport for the 4th July celebrations (we had discovered Southport after watching the Safe Haven film). Hotel pool was most welcome in the heat of the afternoon, before we headed back into town for the fireworks. Good breakfast.

The hotel was clean and well kept. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower was clean and easy to operate. When I asked for a restaurant recommendation, I was given plenty of helpful information.

Breakfast was not remarkable, but it was free so what can I say.
