Hampton Inn Wilmington-Medical Park

I really liked the ambiance and the cleanliness of the facility. It wasn't overcrowded and very little noise throughout the night. The free continental breakfast was full of variety and everything was fresh. The guy Greg at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. He was there when I checked in the evening I arrived and was there the morning I checked out with a professional demeanor and smile. I appreciated the accessibility of the side door by the elevator where I could easily get to and from my car without having to go all the way to the front entrance that was key card only which made me feel safe along with the visible cameras to ensure my safety.

The two complaints I have would be that the room was clean just not squeaky. There were hairs in the shower and a few hairs on the nightstand and desk. Also, as a tall and curvy woman I would appreciate it, especially for the price, that the bath towels were at least long enough to wrap around my breasts and ass. My entire butt and side was exposed. I'm not necessarily wanting to walk to the soda machine in a towel but without robes if I do choose to run to grab ice in my towel I would hope it would be appropriate and not a show for surveillance and other guests.

I love everything about the Hampton the cleaning part is the most important part to me everytime I come to the beach and this Hotel is a good lil ways from the beach I pick the Hampton. Breakfast be so good they have coffee and juicy waffles sausage all kinds of stuff for breakfast I love this place and I well be coming back soon you also can bring pets.

How the staff is on it when you need anything they are excellent and very professional anything you need they gone help you

We only stayed a night, extremely comfy room, a little bit noisy due to the adjacent elevator/vending machines/ice machines, no need yet but the room would be perfect to accommodate a person with handicaps or walking difficulties (seat in the shower, adapted for standing and sitting persons) ==> located close to the Medical Center Nice breakfast, easy to get a parking spot, would reserve a room there again although the price could obviously be a little bit lower (esp. off-season).

The cleanliness was excellent. Staff were all super friendly. The housekeepers were great upon requesting only clean towels and not a full cleaning. It was always super quiet, and we were up late each evening. Super fond of the double shades that allowed us to switch between complete light, some light, or no light for sleeping. The room easily adjusted to our preferred temperature.

The sink in the bathroom was a decent size, but the faucet was located way in the corner so it was impossible to wash your hands without getting water all over the counter every single time. We also had a really hard time making it to breakfast by 10am, we prefer to sleep in on vacation and the surrounding restaurants were not great options for breakfast after 10am. There was no blanket provided for the pullout couch, only a sheet. However one was supplied within 5 min upon request. The coffee supplied in room was not good.

Location of the hotel and room was on the ground floor. We like this hotel.

1. Construction and noise right outside our room, windows and view blocked by dumpster and a porta-john. 2. Breakfast could be improved, some items ran out within an hour from opening. Coffee was too strong. Construction impacted our enjoyment of the room on this visit. Have been here before and everything was better.

Located near a number of medical facilities, I heard sirens all three nights. I assume that the sirens were from ambulances caring for people needing emergency help.

Unfortunately, I left my watch and charger in the room and checked out. Two days later I called, after getting home in another state, and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous by locating the misplaced watch. It was in my mailbox the next day! THANKS!!!

Check in was slow, had to wait 15 minutes for our room to be ready.

The breakfast was nice. There was a decent variety of foods for breakfast. There was a waffle maker that my son enjoyed while there was also a variety of cereals. Our room was clean and had nice pillows. It was pretty comfortable there.

The location was a little ways out of the way for us. We had to travel through a lot of residential and commercial streets. The room was a little small for our family of five. We were only given three bath towels for five people.

It was clean and Greg, the front desk clerk, was very nice!

The pool looked a bit drab. Maybe needs some better decor. Also the breakfast sausages were not good. We were missing a shower curtain at the time of check in.

Very clean, great staff, rooms cozy not ultra modern, great beds and they still have coffee makers and refrigerators! Cold water and coffee available in the lobby, great free breakfast with waffle makers. Managers attentive your needs, a great find.
