My Place Hotel-Bismarck, ND

I liked the location, right off the Interstate. The hotel was clean and fresh. We were surprised with the amenities in the room. The breakfast was a surprise, in that they were like a box lunch, only much better. The manager was friendly, bright and helpful at check in, and when we were outsmarted by the Hi-Tech Digital TV, SHE was, on the spot, took about 5 minutes to check it out, and made the fix so we could watch the Olympics. My wife made the comment that we should look for My Place facilities when we travel, and I agree. This is one of those learning experiences that we'll learn from. Thanks for being there for us.

The room was great! The beds were comfortable and the location was quiet throughout the night. We love having a full kitchenette in the room. And the price is a better value than other hotels in the area without a kitchenette. Breakfast is not provided but I generally hate hotel breakfast anyway and would much rather go to Kroll's for a real breakfast. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Bismarck!

For a 2 night stay, our key cards did not work the second day. The Front Desk fixed the cards easy enough. It was a minor inconvenience. However they never apologized and acted like it was my fault and that reprogramming the cards was a very unwelcome interruption to their job.

Location was within 1/2 mile of family. Room rates were good. I like having the appliances and fridge in case we wanted to make and keep food.

The room smelled a little musty like it had been a smoker room. Not bad, but you could tell there was something different. Having no person behind the desk during some hours. Not a big deal, but it's nice to have a person available most of the time.

Everything else was great. Staff and facilities were real good. Even the amount of time it took for the repair guy to get there was quick. It was just the timing of it. Not anyone's fault just when that lock gave out. Right when I needed to get ready for a wedding.

It is a plus that the room has a little kitchenette.

People in 2 rooms across the hall were loud & when we asked the staff about security, we were told there were security cameras, but no actual security person. I travel with my elderly father so I was very concerned. It did quiet down late that night.

Staff were very friendly, clean comfy room, bed was great (not hard as a rock like most places), easy to get to, and plenty of room to park our pickup and horse trailer!

We were hoping they would have breakfast but they didn’t which meant going into town and making another stop, not that easy with a horse trailer!

It was very clean, dog friendly and good price. The room was roomy and clean kitchen was nice to have. The staffs are friendly and very efficient.

Bed, including the pillows and linens were not comfortable...

Room was clean. I liked that we had a large fridge and the ability to cook which would be great for a longer stay. I liked the big comfy easy chair and the fluffy pillows on bed. All in all, the room is small and functional but perfect for our purposes.

Bed was a little soft and bouncy for my taste.

The place clean and the staff are wonderful . My only issue is not having any basic kitchen gadgets. One would think, having a small kitchen will at least have pots & pans, kitchen utensils etc. Overall, it was a good stay.

There was no breakfast available.

Wanted ice when when we got to the room. Had to wait for the ice maker in the refrigerator to make ice. It took 2-3 hours for the frig to finally up out ice.
