Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Circleville, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast was great. My daughter loved the pancake maker. The area was clean and inviting and was well stocked with everything that was offered. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The desk employees were nice and I didn't have to wait long at the desk to be attended to.

Only thing that was annoying was that the shower head didn't work properly. The head showed signs of tarnish and corrosion. The water would only come out on the setting for the biggest holes, so the shower would either feel like you were using a garden hose (volume but no pressure, no spread) or at the end of a pressure washer (lot of pressure with not much volume). The outside rings of the shower head were totally gunk'd up. Disappointing after a long day working.

Location was great for us. Our family gathering was in a small town 10 miles away, the hotel was 2 blocks from the highway. EZ off, EZ on. Any shopping we needed to do was just a few blocks away, several popular restaurants were within walking distance.

Room and bathroom were clean except for a few minor things, curtains had water stains, no stopper for bath tub (our 2 yr old grandson was with us) small table in room was wobbly and loose. Other than that the room was clean and fresh smelling.

Staff was professional, friendly and attentive. We arrived before noon after a long two days of travel. Check in is not until three pm, but manager on duty had the staff clean and prepare our room while we left for a quick early lunch. Room was ready when we returned. Rooms were large and nicely furnished and bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated. Fitness center had quality exercise machines. Continental breakfast had a good variety and some hot breakfast dishes. Lady overseeing breakfast was very helpful and personable.

Only problem was a side door that wouldn’t open with our key card. Staff said they had a call in for someone to come fix it.

even though we were there for just the one night, we were bummed that the pool was closed. i pick places that look like they have nice pools for my kid. the sign said it was closed for the week.

The room was excellent and the bed gave us the best night’s sleep we had our entire vacation.

Not sure if it’s just them getting back in the swing of things because of CV19 but we had only a short window for breakfast and there was literally nothing out except for two of the eggs…no meat, biscuits…juice… containers were all there and had remnants but food was gone at 7:30 am on a Sunday morning. The worker never said anything to the multiple people looking at the empty containers but just stood in her little room… we had to pay for breakfast through a drive thru to keep our schedule.

Breakfast was very nice! Easy location in and out and staff was great.

We were located near rooms with dogs and the dogs did bark and the folks occupying the rooms yelled around quite frequently in the early morning.

We stayed there for a softball tournament in the area. Thank goodness they had a pool and my daughter had a great time. They also accommodated my dog which was wonderful.

The price was a bit much but, I understand why.

The location was perfect for our weekend event. Lots to do around the area. I assumed it would have the Holiday Inn quality that I have come to expect.

They were short staffed and the staff all smoked outside the front and back door so no matter which door you entered into you had to pass through their smoke cloud. Did not have a dedicated breakfast attendant so they were out of many things before the breakfast hours were finished.

Breakfast was just so so. Average. All was very clean.

The soap in the room was just a sliver and I did not like the way the liquid soap was in the shower. No bar soap. It was difficult to get the liquid soap to work with the washcloth. Needed a scruchy.

The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable.

The pool area is very stuffy and hot. Staff tried to prop the door open with a trash can to help but it didn’t do much. They definitely need better ventilation in there.
