The Hotel at Dayton South

The meals were well made, thumbs up to the chef in the house sorry hotel. The facilty was very clean, quiet and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The building is in need of some TLC. There are a lot of scrotches and scoff marks on the wooden fixtures and doors in the public areas. I suspect the cleaner either is using a dirty mop to clean the floors because soon after the cleaning is done, the entire hallway stinks up. Also, please when cleaning the rooms, remember to clean the top of the picture frames, headboards, lampsshades and ledges. This is overlooked in almost every hotel.

Staff was very friendly and got us a different room because of some odd mechanical noise. They actually spent some time trying to figure out the source before moving us. They were very accomodating in helping us find an acceptable alternative. Excellent coffee machine in the lobby! Great location for our needs and very quiet.

Breakfast was standard for this level hotel. Nothing exceptional, just continental. Hot food only on the weekend, at least during our stay. Not any better or worse than a Hampton or Fairfield Inn.

Super value for the rate I received! Hotel has many amenities including full breakfast (a nice variety of hot and cold options) and 24-hour coffee and water dispensers in the lobby, fitness room, and more. Very good location - there are some nice restaurants within walking distance. Quiet and comfortable.

The staff was professional but not particularly friendly. The breakfast items tended to be overcooked. No major complaints, though! The building is completely unmarked - used to be a Best Western Plus. Earns the plain name "The Hotel"!

The property is in a great location near shops and restaurants. Parking was free and spacious. Room was a little outdated but clean. Staff was amazing and super friendly. Noe accommodations with microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Breakfast spread was amazing and included in the cost of the stay. Nice hot breakfast with omelettes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and waffles. Delicious hot coffee and flavored creamers. And the dining area was lovely.

I have no complaints.

We liked the room and how clean it was. The soaps they used are some of the nicest we've ever seen. And there was plenty of lights in the room. The fridge was the largest we've seen in a hotel.

The king bed had some odd sagging issues in the right edge of it but we slept in the center and towards the other side. The bathroom didn't have a vent fan. The fridge kept giving a high pitched sound. But the worst was that we had no hot water. However, to the hotel's credit, they warned us about that at check in. They had full occupancy and there was a sports team there too.

Kameisha and Meisha (I apologize for the misspelling) were SO NICE! Ms Kameisha was who set up my reservation for 3 rooms: two had to be adjoining, and the third room needed to be across the hall (she understood why I needed something so specific)… she was always so friendly each time we spoke on the phone! And Ms Meisha was the front desk person: also friendly and helpful! I LOVED that all three rooms had both a mini-fridge AND a microwave!

The bathroom door in my specific room would not close very easily. The adjoining room to mine did not have a chain-lock (but it did have a working deadbolt)

Very helpful, thoughtful staff. We were able to have our dog, which was essential for this trip. Free breakfast was above average with excellent coffee. The room felt comfortably large.

As we had our dog with us, I assume we were in a pet room. It had a strong smell of cleaning solution- not unpleasant, but noticeable. One bedside light did not work, but it was too late at night to worry about it.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The check-in person was extremely courteous. The hotel was easy to get to and from with access to major highways.

The bathroom was ok, but the door stuck when trying to close. Also, it could really use more counter space and/or a second mirror. This would be helpful when two people are getting ready in the morning.

Hotel is clean, comfortable, staff is super friendly and ready to meet any need. Bedding is clean and fresh, parking is great and breakfast is free.

There's absolutely nothing I disliked about this hotel. I heard that this hotel had assumed new ownership and I was expecting to see and feel a change. I continue to experience superior service from this hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and stocked even until it was closing. The nescafe coffee machine was the highlight though. Available at all hours. It was the best.

The other guests at times were very noisy and running through the hallways, but I didn't complain at the time, and I won't online either. Nothing the hotel was at fault for, it just seemed like a popular weekend for children's sports events so, kids will be kids.
