Marriott at the University of Dayton

So many things! It was extremely clean! The beds/bedding were so comfortable that I snoozed our last day a little longer! I loved how updated it was. I loved that there was a restaurant as well as a gift shop. I absolutely loved that there was a porch/balcony. It reminded me of my balcony access at the Marriott Grande Vista! So every time I stepped out it reminded me of when I was in Florida! I got a ground floor room w/porch access! The rooms are on the smaller size but there’s so many wonderful things that it didn’t matter. I also loved that there were multiple parking lots, so I was able to park behind my room. I could easily walk out my porch and around to my car so it made packing up a breeze.! One of my favorite stays ever!

The Concierge lounge and service was amazing! I was able to grab a delicious meal after work each day that included pasta, salad, bread, and dessert. Breakfast was also delicious and convenient. The lounge was comfortable and accommodating for my weekly stay; I didn’t have to leave the hotel for meals. Thank you to the chef and kitchen staff; the food was beyond my expectations! Thank you to concierge staff, as well. The concierge lounge experience was my favorite part of my stay.

The hot tub could have been hotter.

The ladies that checked me in and out were very nice. The room was nice and clean.

My partner did have a hard time with the security at the hotel. He met with a friend from the University of Dayton and I locked the hotel door by habit before laying down. My partner went to the front desk for assistance but instead, the security guard choose to threaten him with arrest. I eventually woke up and opened the door for him. My partner explained that the woman at the front desk was very helpful in the process.

The location was great—we were visiting a friend in Oakwood.

While I didn’t expect free breakfast, free coffee in the lobby would have been nice. There was a coffee maker in the room, but it was a little old looking, and there was only powdered cream. I would have been happy to purchase coffee from the restaurant but it had already closed before check-out.

We liked the buffet, the dinner was so yummy and the bar service was fast even though they were busy. We used the patio outside a lot for visiting. The bed (mattress) was fantastic. We loved the space both inside and out for visiting with relatives. The elevators were very fast.

Unrelated to the hotel: booking.com spelled our name wrong and the staff couldn't find a reservation for us until I produced a confirmation number. I don't have a smart phone so I printed hard copies at home.

charge me 37 for breakfast and they credit card machine didn’t work. It was embarrassing she went through 3 credit cards . I should had ask for manager

It’s a great place to stay, and close to Dayton and it’s suburbs. Excellent value!

Full service restaurant and bar is needed, but may not be cost feasible.

Location is a bit far from downtown, but the shuttle van is pretty convenient for most places.

Room service was wonderful great food and amazing staff. Very clean room.

Pillows were uncomfortable.. For the price paid thought it would be a larger room.

The restaurant/bar staff were very attentive and nice. All hotel staff were kind, professional, and accommodating. As a former housekeeper, the lobby and hotel room were cleaned very well.
