Super 8 by Wyndham Gallipolis Pt Pleasant Area

The staff were fantastic and as soon as we stepped into the room, you could smell it was clean and fresh. Plenty of parking, even if you have a trailer (which we did). Also super convenient having a Bob Evan's right next door for some dinner or breakfast. Was a great stay and enjoyed it very much! (The rooms may look dated but they are very comfortable and nice)

The only tiny thing to come to mind is that the vending machines don't accept card, which is more a me-problem since I just do not carry any cash on me.

Our windows in our suite faced the freeway and the bridge over the Ohio river. Those rooms should have heavy sound proofing but they don't. The sound of the heavy trucks' exhaust brakes and tires hitting the expansion joins were very loud in our room. Also we were there because our car broke down on a Sunday and was fixed at around 3:00 on Monday. At about 3:30PM we checked out and thought we would get a partial refund for our Monday night stay but had to pay for the room as if we were staying all night. I thought this was wrong as the rooms were still being cleaned and they were not all booked. They could have rented our room very easily that evening.

Breakfast was great. An employee was making the waffles and they came out perfect and she kept things moving so that you weren't waiting your turn for people who did not know what they were doing.

I thought the price was a little high. We stayed at a Super 8 the previous week in Hagerstown, Md and it was $30.00 less and it was a really nice motel, good breakfast, good service, etc. My husband booked your inn and if I had done it, I would have looked further.

the cleanliness the staff was great overall a very great experince

we had two rooms when we reserved it they knew we booked two double rooms next to each otherwhen we arrived they had reserved a single and double across from each other that was ok except we needed two doubles so one room had to be completely in another area did not like it.

Friendly staff with adequate breakfast. Pet friendly with a fee. Many eating options nearby.

Motel near the Interstate with vehicles heard throughout the day and night. Prior to leaving the staff did say we could have requested "a quiet room", which we will do if and when we return.

The staff was wonderful! Helped with a small hiccup at check in about the price, but Managment stepped in and took care care of it! Wonderful people! Room was large, beds were very comfortable and it was very nicely stocked! Location was great!

The carpet! It was horrible dirty! I accidentally left my house shoes at home and walked barefoot on the floor and my feet turned black! There was stains on the carpet. Now it had been vacuumed. The room was very clean just the nasty carpet. Needless to say I wore shoes the whole time in the room 😳

I would recomend either replacing the desk lamp or alarm clock in each room with one that has a usb port to charge cell phones i forget the wall adapter and was surprised that there was no usb port anywhere other wise the my stay was great one night for work if i had been staying longer im not sure that i would choose to stay agian for extended time staff was exceptional from front desk to house keeping 20 stars for staff hope this helps

The staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious and super clean room. Pet Friendly was a major plus. Our girl goes everywhere with us and they treated her like family as well.

Next time i will ask to be on the bottom floor with the dog. But i didn't ask so not really their fault for the dislike.

I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews but I could not have been more pleased with this hotel. It was just my daughter and myself and I felt very safe. Hotel was very clean, staff was exceptional. Hotel is aging but I feel the upkeep was great.

We stayed here to visit Point Pleasant, WV and the location for it is great. The hotel is clean and the price is good. There’s plenty of places around to eat and your right next to the Ohio River. I’d definitely stay again.

I guess only complaint is the layout of the building can be a bit confusing and stairs leading to elevators which could be a problem if you need to use a cart to haul your luggage but it’s not a deal breaker
