Davis Motel

Not new or fancy, but it does exactly what I hope to get in a roadside motel - comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, wifi, 24h convenience store, and I was offered a complimentary drink (pop or beer) on arrival. Will definitely use them again! Restaurant next door was also pretty good.

No coffee in room, but I think they had brewed coffee available at reception.

Very accommodating, nice, and dog friendly. Rooms were clean, the fridge was cold, and I love the step-in shower. Big room, and on ground level with walk-out which is easy to potty dogs. Will be back next year!

The only thing that worried me a little was the lock on the door. Being a solo traveler I am always safety aware. However..the lock was solid and secure.

It was great! Older extremely clean. People were wonderful. Restraunt was great. Enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. No sounds from other rooms. Some newer hotels are not as clean as this. Close to great restaurants and our activities planned.

This motel was a pleasant surprise. Don't be fooled by the exterior. The rooms are good to go. I actually live in North Lima and needed a room for a couple days, due to our power being off. We decided to give a small business a shot, and i'm glad we did. Excellent shower, clean room with plenty of space, pretty quiet for being close to a truck stop. There is a restaurant located next door and plenty of other options less than 10 minutes up the road. The motel was also 50% or more cheaper than other local hotels. It is now my goto if I need a local room for a night or two. I would highly recommend The Davis Motel!!

Right off highway. Great hotel for the Rogers Fleamarket. Most friendliest, nicest hotel host I've ever met. Hotel was quite at night. Bed was comfortable. Shower was awesome. Next to a bbq restaurant with ribs, bar and pool table. Great price. There are no complaints. Highly highly recommend!!!

Since we had the upstairs queen room (but did love this room!!) Has lots of steps and would be nice if that parking space in front of door was left for people staying in that room since we had to make so many trips up/down for a 3 night stay with luggage for 2. Would have been nice to park in front of door not clear on opposite side.

This motel looks very rundown from the outside, but the rooms aren't bad. The upstairs rooms are quieter and newer, but seemed a bit dark to me. The ground floor rooms on the front are brighter, but are smaller and older. I chose a ground floor room in the back, which is on an alley. I was apprehensive at first because I'm a woman traveling alone. However, the room was clean and quiet and I didn't feel unsafe. The WiFi was good and there were outlets by the bed, which was comfortably firm. The shower was hot and strong, and there was cable TV. There was also a fridge and microwave, which was a nice convenience. Clean towels were provided, and the rooms were cleaned daily.

The motel looks seedy, and the parking lot needs work. However, the owner and staff are extremely nice, and make you feel welcome. The location is pretty good if you have a car. It's not so good if you don't because it's right off the freeway and there aren't sidewalks by the hotel, nor much within walking distance. Overall, it's a good value for the money if you're on a tight budget and don't care much about "curb appeal." I extended for a third night, and I would stay here again.

The location was great, right off the toll road. Breakfast was not provided but there was a McDonalds across the parking lot. Staff was very friendly. It appears they allow smoking in hotel rooms in Ohio, we had a non- smoking and it smelled nice and fresh and as if it had never been smoked in. It also appears this motel was added on at some point in time, rooms at the end which is where we stayed had a newer heating/cooling unit. We were in room 17, I would guess rooms like 15 - 20 are newer. If we returned I would request a room near the end. Next door is a smokehouse restaurant which had wonderful food!

Motel is nice but old, parking lot needs some work. Everything worked fine in the room. NOTE: The motels response to Marilyn’s review who stayed at the motel in Sept. 2023 was that the parking lot was repaired. I don’t know what parking lot they are talking about as everything I saw was still badly in need of a repair!

It was a perfect stay. I was greeted on the arrival, kind of waited for. My paper work was ready. The nicest gentleman at the reception desk gave me the keys and welcome bag with complimentary water and sweets. I also appreciated clear signage from the road and to the reception. The facilities exceeded my expectations: microwave, fridge, hair dryer, everything as described and in good condition. Wifi worked perfectly. Would definitely stay again. Definitely worth the money.

The owner/manager was very welcoming and personable. The room had everything we needed. It was quiet and comfortable. That was our last stop to rest on our journey home.

Understandably, the building is old, run by the family's third generation. The only improvement would be to clean around the edges of the carpet by the baseboards. Otherwise, the rest of the room was clean, especially the linens.

The staff was wonderfully friendly, they give you a treat bag when you check in. The room was clean, the wifi great, we had a refrigerator with a freezer compartment and a microwave . They provide you with all the ice you could ever use! The location was perfect for where we were going, and the bbq restaurant next door was terrific, with huge portions. Best of all, it was quiet and we felt safe, and our car was parked right outside our door.

While it wasn't the worst bed we've ever slept in, the mattress could have been better. And, although minor, it would have been nice to have a box of tissues provided.
