Hampton Inn And Suites Guymon

This place is awesome....except for the awful craters in the parking area. It appears that perhaps the parking lot was faulty...perhaps in litigation? I noticed that people have literally complained now for two years. Otherwise, though, best designed room I've ever had. King Exec suite has entire kitchen area, bath with separate vanity/closet from the commode/shower, so several people can use simultaneously. Great fan, nightlight provided. Perfect lighting, desk area and couch away from bed. The AC works great and does not blow on the bed like most hotel rooms. Good fast elevator, quiet room. WIFI you can count on. Lots of storage for those extended stays.

There were a variety of hot breakfast items to chose from. I also appreciated that decaf coffee was available in the lobby day and night. The bed and room were super comfortable. Manager and staff were friendly and accommodating, always with a smile. I would stay at this hotel again.

The pool was closed.

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly, nice breakfast, room was clean having coffee there all the time was very nice. My friend left her phone in the room and the manager had it there ready for pickup that was awesome!

The construction was a eye sore but that's the only thing that I would say I didn't like.

The room was spacious, beds were comfy, breakfast was fine. Really nice facility off the main road, so it was quiet.

The landscaping was neglected and sad. All the trees in front of the hotel were dead and there were weeds everywhere. It was a terrible first impression for what was otherwise such a nice facility.

The room was so roomy and nice and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful.It was so quiet for sleeping at night.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The breakfast had a lot of choices but just wasn't what I thought it would be. I was looking for biscuits and gravy for a Sunday but it wasn't there.

The facility is two years old and very nice. Housekeeping does a great job, our room was very clean.

Breakfast was plentiful but of poor quality. The eggs and hashbrowns were of the instant verity and cold. In our travels I must say this breakfast was at the low end of our expectations. Pet fee at $50.00 is way above average and in taking our dog out for potty breaks I encountered stray dogs.

I’m getting used to paying a bit more for rooms than I used to because of Hampton Inn. The rooms are nice, beds are always comfortable, the very good breakfast lasts until 10, and check out isn’t until noon. These are huge pluses for a late sleeper like me. Furthermore, I found it to be very quiet compared to the early morning door banging that goes on in budget motels. And the Guymon facility is a great bargain compared to Hampton Inns in other cities. All that said, the price is steep enough at just about any of their facilities that it really gives me pause before I bite the bullet and book. I’ve been used to paying half as much for all of my traveling career. But I guess you get what you pay for (in fairness, many of the budget hotels have fairly comfortable beds, but not reliably so).

The electric shades - I didn’t even know they were electric until it was too late and I had already been awakened by the bright morning light. Even then, I couldn’t get them to function properly. The clerk said something about channel 1 or channel 7, and these controls were on the wall far from the window. Now, I’m not purely stupid, so I’m guessing a few other people had the same issue. It would be nice to have a placard explaining their operation, or for the clerk to explain upon check-in.

The room was clean and comfortable except the AC blew in my face as I was lying in bed. I placed the chair in front of the window unit to try to redirect the air. The shower was very cool and worked well except the doors were not weighted correctly so they never stayed closed. Otherwise the room was better than expected.

Breakfast was okay.

Large, comfortable room with all necessary amenities. Good breakfast items available for early departure.

Parking lot and driveways were in terrible condition. Potholes and flooded low spots. Needed to heat up breakfast in room microwave.

Nice, clean facility. Good breakfast with a nice variety of food choices.

AC goes off at midnight! But, this seems to be an industry practice, perhaps. The room was not cool enough until the air came on again at 6 am.
