You get a coupon (to their restaurant) for either a small free breakfast or $2 off whatever you get (for each person, not each room) which I thought was so nice! The waitress was so kind and refilled our coffee OFTEN. I arguably had a very good time despite the complaints I put in the complaint section of this forum. Wouldnt have said anything if they didnt specifically ask what i didnt like haha. . I will be staying here again if I'm in the area.

The carpet was lowkey very dirty and the room looked like maybe it was built in the 80s by a very short person. I'm only 5'4 and I felt like I had to duck to shower. Very weird experience I've never had before.

It is a great low budget motel. We used it for our halfway point on our trip. The front desk ladies were very nice. It is in a perfect spot. Very quiet spot it was great. Parking is easy to getting in and out.

First room a window with no screen on it was open so there were flies. As we were packing up leaving next morning the maid who was cleaning room next tonours was cussing up a storm complaining about being there. Second room the beds were uncomfortable could feel the springs and the ac was horrible took hours to cool the room and the temperature sensing did not work.

old fashioned but clean and in working condition. very quaint, but it was the hospitality and the congeniality and the bang for the buck that made the place great. the bed was comfortable, the water pressure great, it looked and smelled clean. The free breakfast at the restaurant was amazing!

from the outside it had the feeling of a cheep run down motel, almost pushed on but because of the reviews we gave it a chance and glad we did.

Value is good for an overnight stop on a road trip. Pool was great along with free breakfast.

A drop off when walking out door led me fall on my knees. My fault but perhaps sign "watch your step" is needed.

The free breakfast was a coupon for the restaurant that consisted of a couple of options. I opted for the one egg, two sausage links, and a pancake, which was delicious. Coffee was not included with breakfast though the hotel did have coffee available by the office. The hotel is located near downtown which you could walk to depending on the weather. The manger was friendly and helpful as I had to extend my stay by one day due to weather conditions.

The room was smaller than expected but roomy enough for one person.

we stayed here on a road trip home from Jackson to Seattle. AC was blasting when we arrived so the room was nice and cool. The room was clean and got dark and night and we got a comfortable sleep. perfect spot for a night to crash. best part was the people working at the diner in the morning! They were so welcoming and cheerful. The breakfast tickets were great too- I believe there were 4 breakfast plate options or $2 off anything else on the menu!

nothing, it fit the bill.

The room was small but adequate; bed comfortable. Older furnishings but that is OK. The motel location is excellent-- near the Baker City downtown, which has plenty ornate and 'dignified' buildings of earlier eras. In contrast, paying more for a motel squatting near a freeway seems more dreariness, even if the rooms are newer. Getting a good night's rest trumps that, and the Oregon Trail Motel was very quiet. BONUS: next to it, a shaded, paved trail by a river!

Not there long enough to find faults.

We just need a nice, clean place to spend the night. We were looking forward to trying out the restaurant but it was closed so we had to go downtown to find something to eat. We were disappointed that we couldn't go to the Oregon Trail Restaurant because they had items on their menu that we were looking forward to ordering. Staff were friendly and helpful and the premises were quiet and we got a good nights rest.

Property could use some renovation itself. It is starting to look a little used but we were looking for quaint and comfortable and we weren't disappointed. Room was just a little smaller than we are used to but cozy and comfortable.

The room was cute and nostalgic. I love the staff at the restaurant. Breakfast was truly free and the best breakfast I have ever had at a Hotel/Motel. No one can compare. The restaurant was truly pet friendly. My dog didn’t have to sit in my room by himself. Well behaved pet is welcome. The food was great.

The only thing about the room was the toilet was slanted. But I blv the building settling was the reason. But it was not a problem.

This is an old motel that has been thoroughly and tastefully updated. The colors inside are quite modern e.g. "greige". The tug and shower stall looked new as did the shower fixtures and the flooring in the shower area. The bed linens and towels were squeaky clean. Dinner at the restaurant was exactly what you want in a local mom-and-pop diner. I had the Senior size liver and onions with scratch-made mashed potatoes. The dinner came with a trip to the salad bar, and everything was really quite good, and the server, Maria, was a hoot!

The carpet looked dirty, and when I brought this up with the girl behind the counter at checkout, she assured me that it had been recently cleaned and that it was scheduled for replacement. Also, the heater didn't work.
