Best Western Garden Villa Inn

The room and bathroom were clean. We also used the laundry room, which was inexpensive! Interestingly, a staff member recommended that we use a local laundromat instead, which seemed odd.

The staff member we interacted with a few times mentioned that breakfast food had not been ordered by another staff member and that someone had to order from Costco. Then at breakfast, he said that this was "Depression era cooking," indicating that he scraped some stuff together. The breakfast was honestly fine/typical. It was odd that he kept mentioning what went wrong. It's also disappointing to pay a fair amount for a stay, only to be told that breakfast was considered subpar.

Room was good size and clean, the location was great and within walking distance to groceries, gas and a few restaurants, and Dutch Bros was just outside the entrance! Breakfast in the morning was not disappointing and had a good variety of options. Appreciated the staff who you can see still takes pride in each of their jobs!! Definitely will be back to stay if ever traveling through or back for a concert at the nearby casino.

Breakfast was great. There were multigrain healthy options, bananas, apples, and even nondairy milk! It was nice to use real dishes and utensils rather than wasteful paper/plastic products.The hot tub was under a gazebo and up to temp. Location was close to the S Umpqua River Trail, which we walked in the morning. Room was small but comfortable. TV, A/C, lights, refrig, and microwave all worked well. Bed was comfy.

You could hear some road noise. Decaf coffee was weak.

We arrived really earlier than expected and was just wondering if we could check in earlier. Unfortunately the room wasn't ready but the staff was very polite about it and we left and check again later. The Staff from start to finish was absolutely professional and had good customer service. The room was absolutely perfect, very well kept up, We were on the corner near the freeway and we couldn't hear the freeway traffic. We have found our new place to stay while visiting family and friends in Oregon. Thank you!

Room was very clean.The front desk was very friendly and welcoming. They even gave our kids goody bags, which made them really happy.

Bed is full size. If it was queen size, it would be much more comfortable. The breakfast was a bit too simple but acceptable.

The location was exactly what we needed for the area. The breakfast was certainly adequate. The bacon quality could have been better, but otherwise was just what we needed. During this COVID time, the way the breakfast was served and attention to distancing, serving and being responsible to customers and employees was great. Appreciated the care given to the situation. As always, the cleanliness of the units was very good - that is something we greatly appreciate. If a hotel/motel is not clean enough to my standards, I won't book there again. Thanks for the great service and attention to detail.

Everything was fine.

The facilities was nice and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel, hands down the biscuits and gravy was delicious. The room was comforting and the amenities was nice.

I am not a fan of the covid protocol for having to wear a glove for when getting food. I’ve stayed at a lot of places during covid and this is the only hotel that makes that a requirement.

The room was nice, we got a Jacuzzi room bc we have a toddler and every place we've stayed had their pool and hot tub closed, this place had their hot open. The receptionist didn't tell me where to find the wifi or anything about breakfast or when it was available. She just checked me in and told me where to find our room.

They had a hot breakfast available, but because we weren't told when it was available, we checked out at 9:15am & it was already over, so we had to get go bags of an orange, water and granola bar.

Your team there is really trying their very best with service and smiles. Responsive to the simplest request. I spent two separate nights there and we may make this a regular stop point over our other places.

So this is just some advice. The rooms I stayed at over this week were for the most part clean and fresh towels and linens. The splash guard on the tubs have built up dust or grime - things like that make my wife nervous and concerned. A minor thing but she notices corners and surfaces that are not regularly cleaned.

The continental breakfast was good. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub. This was a good location to explore the Umpqua Forest.

We were on the second floor and there was not an elevator.
