Great staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Frankly we might not have stayed here but a special discount made it comparable in price to other lower-rated hotels in the area that we have stayed at. The small drinks/snacks shop next to the front desk is a plus, as is the location (on the quieter south side of I-80). This is a better choice for people who don't like all the activity around some of the hotels on the north side of I-80. Didn't get a chance to try the breakfast, maybe on our way back home.

A small thing, but it would have been nice if the in-room refrigerator had a small freezer. And, the "front" entrance is on the opposite side of the building from the road entrance onto the property ... could use a sign to direct travelers unfamiliar with the setup to the front, it was a bit (OK more than a bit) confusing.

The facility is attractive, modern and clean. The Wi-Fi and TV worked well and the breakfast was really good for the class of accommodations.

The room was a tight fit for two people. If you're going to stay at Microtel, travel light. The window curtain was effective as a light blocker, but because there was no filtering screen and we were on the first floor (we had a pet) we had to choose between no daylight and no privacy. Using the window curtain made the room seem even smaller.

It is our second time in this hotel, and I will not get tired of saying how good it is. My husband and I travel a lot around the United States and have stayed in hotels of all types and prices. This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in, even considering the great price. I wish there were more hotels like this. I hope from my heart that the management continues the excellent work and does not allow the facilities/services to begin to deteriorate, as is common in these hotels.

This time I was disappointed The air conditioning and heating unit in the room just rattled all the time you couldn't even have it on you couldn't sleep I should have made a complaint to the desk but I was tired after driving 10 hours and I didn't want to unpack and put everything and see if they had another room for me so I'll overlook it I did tell him in the morning they wrote it down

The Microtel Inn and Suites in Clarion, PA is a great option for people traveling with their dog. My husband and traveled across country with our 10 year old English Cocker Spaniel and stayed in a number of dog-friendly hotels. The Microtel Inn and Suites was the ONLY hotel that didn’t charge us an additional “cleaning fee” for the dog. The hotel, which appeared to be newly built or remodeled, was clean and modern. There was plenty of outdoor space to walk the dog. I was thrilled when I woke up at 6am to take the dog out for a walk and found coffee was already available in the lobby!

The location is somewhat remote. No restaurants or other amenities within walking distance.

I stay here twice a year going cross-country back and forth for the last well maybe 6 years at this new location and 11:00 when they used to be down the street excellent rooms private quiet clean comfortable close to the highway in a nice setting safe outside to take a walk restaurants nearby

I use bookit.com and I was off at an upgrade in the room for five bucks so I took it and for some reason it went from $84 to $124 a night wasn't happy about that I was perfectly content with the room I had already you got beautiful light in Los Angeles yeah but the staff said next time just called directly and don't use book it. Food for thought maybe at this one property

The hotel is close to the highway, but behind a hill, shielding the location from most of the highway noise. Fast, efficient and friendly check-in. The room is spotlessly clean. The bed is comfy. Wifi works well.

The breakfast bar has a good selection, BUT... The "full" breakfast, aside from the waffles that you bake on your own, didn't include the prepared hot items. The reason for its absence: COVID! This is October, 2022. Come on, MAN! If you aren't going to provide the advertised full breakfast, then at least make it known when your customer makes the booking.

I like the fact that the hotel is situated just over a hill from the interstate, so you don't hear it. It's exceptionally clean. When you step into the room you smell nothing. You just experience a clean, spacious room. Very comfy bed. There is a big worktable. Decent breakfast.

Sound isolation between the rooms could be better. A person in the adjacent room was admittedly speaking loudly on a phone call but as I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep it was quite distracting. A couple of minor items: there is no countertop in the bathroom other than the rim around the sink. It was nice to have a fridge, but it has no freezer compartment. However, the staff was happy to place my cooler elements in the kitchen freezer.

The hotel had a wonderful aroma when you walked through the front doors. When we entered our room you could smell the scent of bleach just enough to know it was clean. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. My husband enjoyed their continental breakfast which consisted of eggs, waffles, bagels, muffins, juice and milk. Also a 24 hr coffee, tea and hot chocolate station.

This is a brand new & exceptionally clean facility with lovely staff. It is a 3-5 minute drive out of town and would be a bit too far to walk. We enjoyed the fitness room as well until 10pm. Lastly, were given dinner recommendations and even coupons to use at 2 local restaurants.
