We had a wonderful stay here! Great spacious room that was, clean cool and very functional. The microwave and fridge was a big plus. If you're walking (we were probably the only guests EVER to have done that) it's 30 minutes outside of central Alpine. Driving here is just a few minutes and most of the other hotels in Alpine are out here. The room had a giant comfy bed and a couch as well. Lots of storage space and a desk. Check in/out was really eaay in the diner that's next to the hotel. They even got us our room early!
For some reason this hotel has been given a lot of bad reviews. We can't really understand why. If I try really hard to find something bad.. the hair dryer wasn't working. They would probably have solved that if I had asked them.

The room was very clean, they take Covid protection seriously. If guest is there for more than one night, the housekeeping staff do not enter the room at all. When the guest leaves the room is deep cleaned for the next guest.
There is no clear signage saying that to check into the hotel one must go into Penny’s Diner, across the entrance to the parking lot. I had to direct two different couples to the Diner as they were looking for the “front office”. The only other negative is that the hot water temperature needs to be raised about three degrees to be called “hot water”.

I had a pleasant stay, room was very comfortable and clean, the food at the diner was great! Quite easy to book at a very comfortable price, I know I'll be back and I will recommend it to everybody!

The room had plenty of space, including drawers for organizing and a place to hang clothes. We stayed a week and were very comfortable.
The toilet had a small leak where the tank connected and caused the bathroom floor to be wet. It was a minor inconvenience.

Staff are very nice and helpful. Penny's Diner is my favorite place to eat in Alpine, so the food was great as always.
The television in my room was about to go out, so the screen kept going dark. Very minor complaint that won't keep me from staying here again.
