La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Desoto

The hotel looked really nice and we loved the full size queen beds. Everything was clean and smelled good. The secure access points were convenient for our family to get in and out with ease with luggage. The water pressure was great and the water was readily warm/hot when we needed it to be. There were enough pillows for us to get really comfortable and the bedding was warm but not too warm. The breakfast was good and the location of this La Quinta was perfect for us. It felt very safe and secure, outside to inside. Fully fenced in the back and the front is surrounded by businesses and fencing that would not make it easy for anyone wandering crime to go unnoticed. The pool and hot tub looked amazing but we didn’t get to enjoy it this go round. If you are traveling through this location on the way to somewhere else and need good, healthy food options it is also pretty close to some good options in De Soto itself.

The luggage carts were dangerous. They could easily topple over (they did several times on us) or the upper pole could easily come off (this also happened once) which was not safe when traveling with kids or pets in crates. It would have been nice had the breakfast gone until 10am like other La Quinta locations. The outside dog areas usually near the La Quintas weren’t present, though they did have doggie do-do bags… there was a field area in front of the hotel that we used that might have been owned by the hotel but I wasn’t too sure. The address provided in our booking.com confirmation email sent us up the highway in the wrong direction from the hotel and at 1am backtracking is not fun. Make sure to put in the name of the hotel from the start if you don’t want to deal with that.

i liked the location of how easy is was to get off and on the highway. spacious parking lot. the lobby smelled very clean and was very well decorated. carpets did not look old like other places I’ve been in. our room met the highest of our expectations. it was very clean and spacious. comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. the shower was clean. towels smelled fresh and new. appreciative of the dove brand travel size toiletries.

breakfast was delicious but coffee was not ready the lady forgot to turn on the juice machine and the syrup pump for the waffles was clogged so it did not work. needs some improvement

The entrance to the lobby is very welcoming. I was attended by 3 different staff at the desk thru out my day and they were all very welcoming, polite, and approachable. The housekeeping ladies are so sweet and breakfast was delicious. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes/hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, sausages/links, waffles, cereal, fruit and sweet bread. Not all of this was provided at once. Each day was a different combination. Pool and hot tub were available. However the pool was warmer than the hot tube, but I enjoyed both!

The elevator was out for 1 day.

Elevator was out of order for a little while and had to use the stairs a few times...for a 50 year old lady with Rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis stayingon the 3rd floor...its not the best situation...but it was only temporary so it was somewhat bearable...everything else was awesome...thank you so much

clean and quiet environment. staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice feature.

concern about only one elevator. it was extremely slow. a couple got stuck in elevator, but problem was corrected. we were worried if we had to exit building due to an emergency as I have mobility issues with my knees. The sign leading to property is blocked by tree/bushes. it is barely visible. Property maintenance needs to cut and trim leaves and branches to make sign visible from highway and access road.

I wanted to use the pool but everyday there when unsupervised children being loud and horse playing my room was 218 right above the pool which you could still hear them upstairs.

Everything was nice

I ordered Door Dash and they didn't allow the dasher to bring me my stuff. I had to go downstairs and get it. I had injuries that didn't allow me to carry stuff so one of the guess assisted me. I feel this should be stated upfront.

You know that feeling you get, when you first walk in somewhere? Well, my first was the good smell of fresh and just a pleasant feeling . Clean, pleasant and very restful stay💜 Staff was Cheerful and nice🌹Thank you and Heading home to San Antonio Texas. My GrandDoll loved the indoor pool and the shower lol ,

Clean , easy to get to

Some things are a little outdated, i hit myself to hard on the side out bed there's a metal sticking out to where the king bed mattress doesn't fit properly on to it. Had to be watching out for it after the bad hit to my leg.

Breakfast was great!! beds were comfortable!! Staff was nice!! Everything was like 5mins away from the hotel!! Well differently come back here to stay!!

Too many people in the pool there was like 20 people. So had to wait until the morning to swim. And our restroom had roaches.
